The Story: Death has come to the X-Men. The one true Black Queen has returned, and she wants nothing less than every soul of mutantkind...dead or alive. And everyone that's ever crossed Selene is going to pay. The dead rise, familiar faces haunt mutants across the world, and Selene takes her final steps into becoming a god. It all begins here in a full-length X-Force extravaganza, and continues in the pages of next month’s issue of X-Force… but the shockwaves of this terrifying event will be felt in New Mutants and X-Men: Legacy as well, and those reverberations begin here in two all-new bonus tales.
In Stores: October 28, 2009

This is going to be good! X-Force and the X-Men are going up against a formidable group of foes here. Let's see how Utopia deals with this new threat amongst others...
Thought I should drop by and share the good news;Claremont confirmed New Mutants:Forever!
"And now for something completely different -- coming in the spring, 2010, will be New Mutants Forever, courtesy of me, Editor Jordan White and an artist to be named soon (ahh, where's Sienkevitch when you really need him? Or Arthur? Or Rick? Or Leialoha? But I digress ... ) Same rules as XMF, the series picks up right where I left off, in the aftermatch of the two-part adventure with the Hellions. As with XMF, it should prove an interesting contrast / alternative to its 616 counterpart -- and of course, this one will actually give a credit to the series / characters creators, what a concept!
Give it a try, should be fun. We might even manage to catch you all by surprise.
Cordially,
Chris Claremont"
Ugg why Claremont?? His current "Forever" I find just awful awful...awful.
Hi. I have been vacillating between admiring Claremont’s work on Forever and disliking it. I still miss Betsy’ absence as well as Colossus in Forever, and I have been reading the book since its debut. Because I was raised on the glory days of the X-Men in the early 90’s, X-Men Forever seems so different from that age that was so memorable in my childhood. Yes, there were times in the 90s where a particular X-Men story such as X-Tinction agenda were so difficult to follow because they spanned more than a half dozen books, and that deterred me from reading it (unless it were in Trade Paperback), but the decade as a whole had some well written stories that left an indelible impression. Forever has its moments of glory, and I’m glad Selene included Claremont’s quote. Thanks, Selene. I’m still waiting for Forever to grow because I’m patient. Maybe Marvel thinks that current sales of X-Men Forever are strong enough to warrant giving Claremont a chance at developing Forever into a franchise similar to the Ultimate line. I think the writing and stories in X-Men Forever are definitely an improvement over New Exiles, but sometimes for many comic book writers, great and lucrative creativity sparks at a certain point in their lives, then never appears in that same manner again… I like Forever, but don’t see that it dwarfs some of the work done by Claremont in the 80’s ,90s, and early 2000s.

@Anonymous 6:35PM - Hi. The DLC isn't currently available, but it should be soon. Not sure what the release date is. Enjoy MUA2!
It looks great! Too bad Psylocke isn't in any of these preview pages... I hope she appears in this issue.
Changing the subject a little bit, does anyone here please have the link of Larroca's sketches for what would be Evil British Betsy in Xtreme X-Men (before Claremont had to change Bogan's telepath in the last arc to be Rachel)? I can't find it...

@Anonymous 11:52AM - Yes, FSaker is right. Perhaps the DLC will be available at the end of the year, and we do have to pay.
@FSaker
