X-Men #36 Spoilers

Spoilers: While looking for any sing of proto-mutant activity, Sabra finds a perfectly looking man named Gabriel Sheperd at an airport in NY. Gabriel is a 700 year old proto-mutant. The X-Men head to the airport and start questioning Gabriel. He guarantees that he doesn’t know who David Michael Gray is. Psylocke warns Storm that he is hiding something. She also points out that Gabriel is not one of Dr. Gray’s experiments; he’s a real proto-mutant. Storm decides to let him go, before taking him to Chicago, where he was supposed to go before the interrogation. On their way, Gabriel tells Pixie that he can hear her thoughts, in addition to being immortal, strong and flying. Storm contacts Cyclops, and they disagree again about her decisions concerning the proto-mutants mission. Gabriel asks Pixie who’s Dr. Grey. Pixie refuses to say anything, so Gabriel uses his powers to find out. He is furious that the X-Men never told him about what Gray was doing to those of his species. He pushes Colossus out of the plane and jumps from it as well.

X-Men #35 Spoilers

Spoilers from : Fighter jets have started to circle the cult's headquarters, while Storm receives word of a potential missile strike by the U.S. military. Pixie is dispatched to deal with the projectiles, as stealth-mode Domino infiltrates the enemy's defences. Betsy reveals the presence of the X-Men to the cult leader, sending the paranoid zealot over the edge; with Psylocke held at gunpoint, he drinks the proto-mutant DNA. Domino has the cultist caught in her cross-hairs, but Psylocke insists that X-Men do not kill. Colossus suggests that Psylocke capture some of the maniac's DNA, but the leader of the Heavenly Path begins to change, mutating in real-time. Taking advantage of his weakened state, Psylocke renders the cultist unconscious. Domino arrives to rescue Betsy from the oncoming security forces just in time. Meanwhile, with their impact dangerously close, Pixie teleports the missiles to the arctic. Psylocke and Domino argue over whether the remaining DNA ought to be captured or destroyed. Like Colossus, Domino believes it's in their interest to remove all trace of the proto-mutants. Psylocke however sees medical potential in salvaging a sample for themselves. Ultimately Domino concedes. Storm calls Sabra, asking her to extend the search for the remaining proto-mutant DNA. Although a sample has been recovered, something doesn't quite feel right to her. Domino sneaks into Colossus's cabin.

X-Position: X-Editors

CBR: Joining us for some fun are Senior Editor and X-Men Group Editor Nick Lowe, along with editors Daniel Ketchum, Jordan D. White and Jeanine Schaefer. Let's quickly get started before they leap away…

How is Husk dealing with Angel's new identity? We haven't really seen them interact for a while, and I, for one, loved their relationship. And on the topic of Angel, what will Psylocke's reaction be when she sees the young Angel that comes from the past post-AvX?

Nick Lowe: Husk isn't really dealing very well with anything, frankly. She's not in the best shape mentally or physically right now, so Angel hasn't weighed too heavily on her mind. As for Psylocke, I'd imagine she'll react much like any adult would if a time-traveling version of someone you love showed up. Here's my summation: "Ah! That's weird. He looks so young! What's going on here? I think I'm going to peace out and go get a cup of coffee and collect my thoughts."

Seth Peck and Paul Azaceta Take Over X-Men

Comics Culture The Beat: Over on his Tumblr blog, writer Brian Wood has confirmed that his run on adjectiveless X-Men will end with issue #37.The new creative team for the book will be writer Seth Peck and artist Paul Azaceta. Peck confirmed the news on his twitter, revealing that the first two issues of his run will feature a guest-appearance from Daredevil. Check the original source for a first look at the art!

With both Uncanny X-Force and X-Men facing major creative team shake-ups in the coming months, and Uncanny X-Men being cancelled in favor of All-New X-Men, there is no telling of where Psylocke will end up in the future.

Update: Seth Peck confirmed on twitter he isn't permanently taking over Adj. XMen

"I'm writing a couple issues of X-men...as far as I know, I'm not "taking it over", as has been reported."

X-Men #34 Spoilers

Spoilers: The proto-mutant sample, which was stolen during last arc, ends up in the hands of the cult leader of Heavenly Path. This cult operates via a ship and submarine combo outside of any one country's jurisdiction. Meanwhile Cyclops orders Storm to retrieve the sample and fix the mess her team has made. Sabra contacts the X-Men and tells them where they can find the sample. Domino says Heavenly Path’s principle is to aim for perfection. Colossus deduces that the cult leader is trying to improve human beings by using the sample. Pixie takes Psylocke and Domino to the cult’s ship and returns to the X-Jet. Psylocke and Domino pretend to be followers of the cult and try to blend in to find out more about the Heavenly Path. The cult leader has noticed Betsy and requests a private audience with her; meanwhile Domino is on the loose within the ship. In a private room, the leader explains to Betsy that they’re building a better human race. He reveals he has already used the sample to ‘improve’ himself, revealing his unnatural eyes.

X-Men #32 Art

X-Men #32 Spoilers

Spoilers: Psylocke telepathically calms down the proto-mutant, and the X-Men bring him to their jet. Storm and Colossus disagree about whether or not to brief Scott over their latest discoveries. Storm threatens Colossus should he jump the gun. Hunter, the student who was supposed to analyze the proto-mutant's sample, contacts Storm and says their camp lab was trashed, noticing their files are missing. Storm orders her to hide the sample as they'll find her later. It turns out the proto-mutant only speaks an old-fashioned rural dialect of Russian, so Colossus asks Magik to drop by. Magik finds out that Ister (that's his name) and the other Proto-mutants were exterminated about 600 years ago by humans and buried in a mass grave.  Someone found this grave and is now cloning them and letting them loose. Magik wants to go back in time to stop this. Storm disagrees. Psylocke comforts Storm and assures her she's doing the right thing. At Dr. Gray's lab, he decides to shut Ister off since he became a liability. Before Ister dies, Psylocke enters his mind and finds all about Dr. Gray and what he's doing.
