I'm so hoping it turns out she has nothing to do with Jean Grey.
Seriously. Plus if this did mean that, Jean comes back during Fraction's run, can you imagine all the pointless over-hyping that's going to take place despite the fact that she's had A. Time to move on in God-land, B. IS generally more even and mature about these things unless their sudden changes.
Has Magneto rejoined the X-men? Must be him or Deadpool who is the mystery new member.
See if they hadnt retoconned the fact he killed Jean Grey, Wolverine and Cyclops would have kicked the crap out of him the second he showed up, well tried to at-least.
its really cool to see not the usual characters as X-em eg: Namor and Cloak and Dagger, as well as old ones coming back like Northstar and Dazzler...and of course Psylocke
good for psylocke being almost in the center. seems like marvel is going to try and make her happen for a bigger audience. hopefully they don't pair her up with Magneto. i want Betsy to stay good and sane.
It's taken a long time for Psylocke to become part of the upper Pantheon of mutants. And it's funny to see her, Magik and what might be Jean on the same page. How many time have they been ressurected between them?
Well, Illyana has been ressurected twice (once in Inferno, then in New X-Men), Betsy twice as well (once in Fall of the Mutants, then in Claremont's last Uncanny run), and Jean surprisingly was never revived (thanks to the "Jean wasn't Phoenix, Phoenix was impersonating Jean" lame retcon).
But yeah, it's nice to see Betsy getting so much attention in the X-verse! I was afraid that when Claremont let her go, the other writers wouldn't be interested in using her in their stories, but it seems even Fraction (who focuses his stories just in Scott, Emma, Hank and Pixie) is willing to give her a decent panel time!
And I agree with Mr. Hellfire, I hope that Hope (...how weird is this sentence?) is not Jean reborn, that would be utter lame. I hope she's not Rachel from Earth-616 either (one Rachel is fine to me).

in fact, they`ve already done that. xorn killed jean, not magneto...
@Mr. Hellfire: Hi. Missed your input on this blog. I concur. The Psylocke return in the Sisterhood arc was over-hyped, too, just to cite another recent example. Betsy had a marginal role in that arc, even though she had small moments of glory. I enjoyed the Sisterhood arc, but found that when the Sisterhood solicits moved to the actual book release, they were underwhelming. I think Fraction overhyped HIS return of Psylocke, but Yost's return appears to be a totally different animal. Seeing the Psylocke mini solicits, it certainly seeems like this is the REAL Psylocke return.
I appreciate that Betsy is in the forefront with Emma, Rogue, and the other prominent X-Men. The Emma, Rogue, Psylocke and Dazzler (and occasionally Storm) lineup for female x-men is one of the best in years.
What I fear is that even if Hope is the resurrected Jean Grey, she will get most of the page time and leave other female X-Men on the sidelines... Essentially, what I am suggesting is that Jean's absence should serve as an opportunity for other important female X-Men to take center stage, especially the one's that have been neglected for years. Presently, Rogue is getting her glory in Legacy, but Betsy needs her time in Uncanny as well.
Theyre ageing Hope way too fast we have plenty of adult characters it doesnt hurt to mix it up with some children and teens.
Yeah im annoyed if Emma is already cured, it pushes Betsy to the back, the loss of Emma's telepathy would be a huge blow for her where as Betsy accepted her loss with honour. Would make for some great character development for Emma because she is So all about her power.
Great to see Illyana front stage she should remain a very central character she fills the creepy little girl who happens to kick complete ass very well!
Wish they were doing more with Dazzler but hey you cant have everything. They need to make a new team for Astonishing and get it back to its monthly schedule, uncanny cant handle all these characters on its own.
I hope Hope turns out to be something awfully evil and Bishop was right.
"judging from the latest covers, emma got rid of the void..."
Well, the Marvel solicits for December kinda showed that would happened, when it was said in Uncanny's solicits that Scott would try to free Emma from the Void... apparently, he was successful.
Plus, Emma appears in human form and no Void in her head in the Nation X #1 cover.
Anyway, when do you guys expect this new saga to begin next year? Necrosha goes until March if I'm not mistaken, so I think it will be weird if Second Coming starts before Necrosha ends...
Mike Carey said "the first half of 2010". Since it's a three-months long event, I'd guess April/May/June right after Necrosha and Nation X both come to an end in March.
@Luckystar - Hi. I read on wikipedia - not sure how credible the source or entry is - that Psylocke is appearing as a character in an upcoming episode of the Marvel Super Heroes Squad TV show. There is no mention of whether she will appear as a heroine or a villian, or if this is a cameo or recurring role. Nonetheless, I thought this might be worth mentioning and maybe posting on a future discussion on the blog. Thanks! Here is the link:

@Anonymous 3:45PM - Hmmmm. Why do I feel some upcoming connection between Hope and Madelyne Pryor's ghost from Sisterhood?

@centurion Thanks very much, haha, I've unfortunately been busy with college lately, but I definitely still read every post here.
