The Story: “Want You to Want Me,” Part 2 Deadpool is convinced that, after years of gun-for-hire work, he has found his true calling: He’s going to be an X-Man! One problem, though: they don’t want him! And can you blame them? Wade’s just as likely to fire on his friends as his enemies! But Cyclops is smart enough not to get on Deadpool’s bad side. He has a plan to keep Deadpool both close enough to monitor and far enough away so that no one gets hit by the shrapnel. But Deadpool has a plan, too…

Love the art in this issue, Betts looks genuinly asian, albeit a bit evil as well : )
having trouble identifing the people in the back is it magik, prodigy and dazzler or are those females magma and mindee, cant decide : )

lol she looks more elvish than asian. Obviously the flash on the camera was too bright:P

She doesn't look Asian at all to me. I feel like artists over emphasize how small Asian's eyes are because they can't draaw them correctly. She looks horrible. Detest this look. Only Land and Dodson can draw a pretty Asian Betsy because they draw her with flowing hair. This slick gelled hair looks horrible and butch and I've hated it since the 90s. When I see so many artists make Asian Betsy so horribly it makes me wish Fraction didn't switch her back. I rather see a beautiful model looking woman.

i did liked it although Betsy looks like Namor xD i really appreciated Dagger, she looks very good!

Hmm yes, i also dislike the gelled look, much prefer flowing locks : )
And i also love how dagger looks, its also nice for her to have an expanded role and also away from cloak : )

I`m sure the artist intended to draw namor at first and the changed his mind and added a pair of boobs... look the pointed ears... hahah JK.

Ugg Betts does look horrible as a female Namor....hate when they give her slicked back hair

Nice to see Dagger get more exposure.

It's good to see Betsy in the forefront. I like the fact that she is depicted Asian here. The lineup of X-Men is also interesting.

From the looks of it, she probably won't appear in any other panels in this issue. But hey, at least she appeared in one, while other X-Men probably won't appear at all.

And Dagger presents a great point, although I understand Scott and Logan too...

I prefer this hairstyle. *Every* X-Women is drawn with flowing wavy hair. I like that Betsy is drawn with long, straight hair. It makes her stand out.

I like the hair as well, but I also agree that the Namor face is pretty bad.

So many Betsys lately that it is hard to be stuck on one. Maybe someone can combine all the good features of all the recent art and come up with the besty Betsy.

As far as this issue goes, I am far more suprised at Wolverines Moose-Knuckle on page two.

Yes, I prefer the super-straight hair too. I also liked her "bob" haircut during a short time in the 90s, clearly the trend setter:D

@Anonymous 12:48PM -Yes, Betsy had a nice hairstyle in the Aussie outback, too.

You see, every artist has their own rendition of Psylocke. e.g. Land, Paquette, Davis, et. al. I guess it relates to personal style and how the particular artist conceives of Betsy's appearance. All of the recent artists who drew Betsy have their moments of glory. Tolibao's Psylocke is quite detailed and physically well articulated.

Dodson is certainly my favorite artist for Psylocke as of the newer renditions. She looks gorgeous in those, AND she has an asian look. Here, it's a bit iritatingly butch. =/

@Luckystar: Hi, I came across this article online that placed Psylocke as one of the top five "hotties" in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. It seems fairly recent and may be worth posting. Here is the link:

Thanks,

I agree with Centurion, it would be nice to put this news here (even though Betsy looks kinda pornish in the 3D render)!

BTW, speaking of info to be put in this blog, the X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas #1 issue was released yesterday, wasn't it? Any news for us about Psylocke? Does she appear in any other pages besides the one we already saw? Does she have any lines in it?

centurion said...

@Fsaker - Hey. Yes. I remember several of us discussed in a previous blog about Psylocke not being included in the Marvel girls of Maxim. At least Betsy is among the top five.

Hey guys, everyone is talking on every single forum available that that 3-d render is the high res pic for psylocke and that shes one of the new characters available in DLC with cable, carnage, magneto and dr doom!!!
if this is true, which im 89% is, then I'm VERY, VERY EXCITED!!!!

@Psychilde - Yes, I thought there had to be some connection. Let's hope there is a DLC soon.
