@X, agreed! Also, though I’m not a fan of the armor, I dig the mystique that the helmet adds. It has the same vibe her armored mask and hood had in the Outback era. It’d be pretty sick if post Fall of X, we get a new hood/mask/armor uniform. Not her Outback one, but a new design. Maybe with the colors of the Anka uniform or tge Lady Mandarin uniform which really complemented her pink power signature and purple hair. Also, flexible armor like the Outback uniform would be great for her since she does enjoy physical fighting.
Back to your original point though, I love that her voice sounds like hers again. And I dig that she is displaying an array of feats with her telepathy.
Happy with the change back to the normal Betsy. No matter her being wrapped in the tacky Captain Kettle it's Betsy again. No clumsy mopey dopey D&D wannabe. Ask Alan Davis to make a new costume for Betsy to match Brian's. And let the twins work together.
The biggest complaint about Betsy is the bulky armor lol most people do not like it.
Her KoX was a step in the right direction as it was supposed to all be leather but wasn't really anything great but they throw her back in the To look which IMO is stale now and makes Betsy look weird standing with other characters who don't dress like superman
I don't dislike her CB costume but the CB mask definitely doesn't look good for a female. It looks stupid and outdated and makes Betsy looks like a villain.
Exactly @Rahsaan. I'm not fashion savvy like you or @Kiki, but I definitely don't think the colors of her powers work with the outfit either.
And speaking of her powers & voice, I definitely loved how she said so confidently that no one hides from her for long when referring to her telepathy.
Missed that Betsy.
@Kiki. I agree with your statements as well, although I kinda want Betsy more involved with the X-men again. I don't want a Brian team up unless it involves him regaining Caprain Britain lol.
@Kiki, I like your idea, but I think maybe I’ll writer to Dauterman or Anka or Asrar and ask them for a new uniform design that incorporates flare of fashion and mystique with utility. I’m not sure that Davis whose art I adore would be the ideal choice for a modern uniform design.
@Psi, I do like the mystique a mask gives her like her Outback days, but I do see your point about the helmet looking outdated. I don’t think helmets are gender-specific for warriors, but hers is a bit clunky. Overall, the outfit in general is not a great choice. Her helmet kinda reminds me of the one Kwannon first wore as Revanche or the one that Captain Marvel/Carol sometimes wears. I realize many aren’t fans or either. Lol. A cloak/hood and mask like her Outback one could be a nice uniform to have in rotation of uniforms.
I agree that she'd look great with a cloak/hood and a mask, making her look more mysterious like in the Outback days. The armor may be unnecessary, though; it was a nice look in the 1980s, but it doesn't make much sense for Betsy to need an armor nowadays, when other X-Women who also don't have above-average physical strength or resistance (like Dazzler, Jubilee or even Jean Grey and Storm) aren't walking around wearing armors themselves.
I still think about how Bachalo was supposed to pencil "Mystery in Madripoor," but he had to bail because his wife had a health scare. It's a bummer we didn't get to see Bachalo illustrating Betsy's big return to her original body.

Still prefer Dissasembled Betsy & a new costume, but seeing her demeanor ,voice, & sarcastic wit back is such a breath of fresh air.

Stylistically Betsy is at her worst. The writing is an improvement.

@FSaker, something like this look from Age of X which we saw sketches of but never actually saw her with the face mask on in the book:

I loved this look!
Rahsaan it's Dauterman's turn to make something for Betsy. His HG costume for her was real good. That or retool Anka's Femme X-Men uniform for Betts.
The one I'm itching to work on Betsy's new threads is Chris Bachalo. He ranked up Magik into X-Men level with his style.
I still think about how Bachalo was supposed to pencil "Mystery in Madripoor," but he had to bail because his wife had a health scare. It's a bummer we didn't get to see Bachalo illustrating Betsy's big return to her original body.
I think about this still. Would have loved to see him draw British Betsy and would've been the first time (I think) he would have drawn the butterfly
I was just looking up that pic @Rahsaan before I looked at your link.
My friend had that as their phone Screensaver lol.
I loved that look too, Betsy looks so bada$$ in it. Was disappointed we never saw it.
Still not my favorite colors for her though. I think she'll always look best in her signature colors of Blue, purple, or pink.
