Interesting; so there are plans for both Betsy and Kwannon. I wonder how they'll address their connection, or if the body swap even happened in this continuity, considering that the 1990s animated series that this new animated series is following showed Psylocke as "Ninjalocke" but still addressed her as the sister of a British man (I don't remember whether she mentioned him as Brian or Captain Britain, but if I remember correctly, she did mention having a brother).

Maybe this Psylocke will be Kwannon and Betsy will appear as Revanche or with another identity? Or maybe they'll keep Betsy as Psylocke and Kwannon as Revanche?

What's weird is the show will have to make up a more fleshed out backstory for Kwannon if she's brought in. I mean what do we know about her besides the fact she's an ex criminal assassin who had a kid.

Good question. Then again, I assume neither Betsy nor Kwannon will be part of the main roster; they'll probably appear for one episode (or, if we're lucky, a 3 or 4 episode arc) and that's it - and most of the characters in this situation in the 1990s animated series barely had any backstory other than some dialogue lines and a couple of scenes of them showing their power, so I guess Kwannon should be fine in that regard.

(I can actually see Psylocke - whoever she is in this continuity - becoming a recurring character; the one that isn't Psylocke in this continuity will probably be the one appearing for just one episode or arc. So let's hope Betsy is this continuity's Psylocke)

The new show is what 12 episodes short. Hardly room for the body swap travesty. It would require 10 episodes alone to make its pointless existence across. Better them keep Betsy as Psylocke to be in line with the 90s stuff and call it a day.

Oh yass queen X-Men 97 is the right place amirite? Morph is non trinary what's missing is Betsy scissoring with Rachel. That would be epic on disney plus

Yeah of course Disney gotta inject their politics. This is why I am not looking forward to the XMen and Betsy being in the MCU. It's gonna be nothing but garbage and the changes they make will reflect the comics.

Yeah, to be honest, I don't feel interested in watching her MCU debut anymore. And in my case, it's not even because of Disney interfering in it: I used to love the MCU, but around the time of Infinity War and Endgame, there were so many films released in such a short interval - and with the spectators needing to watch all of them to understand even the films that were just tangentially connected to the Avengers saga - that I just felt burned out on them. I did get to watch the first Black Panther film and loved it, but didn't feel interested in watching anything else.

It's kinda funny how the MCU and the "DCCU" took very different approaches (the former having all films intricately connected to each other, while the latter was a complete mess in terms of continuity, consistency or planning), yet both ended up crashing and burning in terms of quality. Well, I guess the MCU at least generated (and still generates) a lot of money to Disney, unlike the DCCU did to Warner (then again, Warner also has the Harry Potter franchise saving them from any financial losses they might have)...

...Sorry; I digress.
