FSaker said...: I don't think Claremont intends to acknowledge Kwannon's existence; he seems to prefer sticking with his old explanation of Betsy's appearance changing due to "mysterious alterations" performed by Mojo and Spiral. For example, when she was resurrected in the Reload era, there was an arc where Mojo captured her, looked into her eyes and then angrily yelled that those weren't the eyes he gave her - if Claremont were acknowledging Lobdell and Nicieza's body swap story, Mojo should have already known that the robotic eyes were placed on the OTHER body, since he was the one who switched Betsy's and Kwannon's bodies (and Kwannon was shown removing the robotic eyes in the 1990s before dying).

But yes, he should show Betsy in her current state - after all, he has always wanted to return her to her original appearance, to the point of idiotically killing her in X-Treme X-Men to do so and ignoring the editorial mandate at the time establishing that dead characters weren't allowed to be resurrected.; February 14, 2024 at 9:29 AM

The catch was it took too long to revert Betsy into her normal image and secure her away from the later body swaps and yellowfaces.; February 15, 2024 at 5:59 PM
