I still have to read the full issue, but from these secreeshots alone: - Confident no BS, leader Betsy - Butterfly - Physical combat skills mixed with her psi powers. - Telepathy (even if it's for a gag). Foxe is up for a good start
Pretty good despite the atrocious artwork. Steve Foxe needs to stay far away from Steve Orlando and he will be fine. Foxe is definitely the more competent of the two "Gay Steves".
This is almost the Bets we’ve needed for decades now. I am glad they found a way to finally get her involved in Krakao if at the very end of the era. Here’s to hoping she is pot in a front line book with a good writer who knows her voice and an artist who will do her justice once Brevoort takes over.
The effort to course correct Betsy is criminally belated for such a popular character. From 2019 until early 2024 we were served a Betsy effigy written poorly and out of character. Tini Howard was obsessed with her own take on the hero killing years of evolution in the process.
I think Foxe shows to care and know how Betsy carries herself and what her abilities and idiosyncrasies are. The Butterfly signature is integral to her mutant powers and also Betsy's need to engage in physical fights and sometimes resort to her old psychic deception tactics is always her pivot. British wit was something not used in a long time and I'm happy to have it back.
I love the butterfly imagery but combined with all the extra-ness of the Captain Britain attire, it all looks a bit gaudy. She needs a sleeker uniform to complement her power signature instead of clashing with it.
What I find most frustrating is not that TH didn't know how to write Betsy; it's that she simply refused to write Betsy in-character. She was aware of all the issues pointed out by the fans, but instead of listening to the feedback, she chose to isolate herself in a community of yes-men led by her literary agent and arrogantly deemed her version as the best rendition.
We get it, you hate TH. You told us for six years nonstop. She’s been off the books for well over six months yet here you are, still complaining about her.
And here you are combing the comments lmao You guys are weird af no one here has ever personally attacked TH its always been about the writing yet you want to take this as a personal attack not only towards TH but to yourself as well. Please touch grass you seem sad af
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

MTE. She's got her voice back. Love to see it.
Agreed! I missed the witty banter during battle. TH never understood the cheeky side of Betsy but Foxe got her voice so well! She's finally fun

Definitely more Betsy's voice. Much better. Much better use of her powers too.
Still not a fan of the costume or the flowers lol.

I love her nickname for Gaveedra! Ha!
