Wolverine in the middle - ok, he's an Avenger and an X-Man - but is there any significance to Psylocke being in the middle? Does she just enjoy playing for both teams in everything?!

She likes to have her cake and eat it too.

I think her willingness to play on both teams bespeaks her dedication to Xavier's dream....both extremes of it. It makes sense to me that she would be one to put herself in that position.

Hm not the kind of attention she should be calling at all...I did not expect that shot to go all that far to move such a discussion he it's clearly visible that this pose is not possible, so people are overreacting and making fun of it...
Some of the comments compared to this shot of catwoman, but argued that this one was more close to a kinetic ellegance:

I don't know if I am bothered because of this image. Emma's uniform showed a lot of her body too. Besides, I do not think Psylocke's attitude is slutty... We know that the image is exaggerated. But this is comics, is there anyone expecting it to be 100% realistic??
And as Psylocke was chosen the second Marvel favorite heroine of the year, that sure called much more attention to her and will surely serve as a scapegoat to people who don't like her come and bash her.

I love the way Bachalo drew Betsy in this cover, especially her sash!!

About the accusations of Psylocke's poses, well, sometimes artists can be quite exaggerated in the way they illustrate her. Still, she's far from being in comics "only for ass shots"; in fact, in Uncanny X-Force she's being represented in a very classy way, both in terms of writing and art. There are many comic book gals that fit much better in this "only for ass shots" category.
