She's using her psychic knife as a light source? I thought that was a mental psychic power but I don't know much about the specifications of her powers. That would have been the perfect opportunity for Dazzler to show up though!
I definitely ship Betsy/Colssus and even sometimes Betsy/Logan so the issue would be interesting to me but I think my subscription ran out and will until Fraction is gone. Betsy looks cute though.
@PoP
Yes. Psylocke has used her psy-knife as a source of light before. I can't remember in which issues though. =(
She's used her psy-knife as a light source during the time when HYDRA brainwashed most of the X-Women... Then she did it again in the X-Men / Cyber Force crossover.
Coincidentally, both of those times were also in sewers. :)
It probably looked just a silly in those other issues, I am glad to see Betsy do more in this issues, but I hope she is not reduced to the x-men's candle in it. I keep buying this title just because Psylocke is in it, if not I would wait it out as well. the writing is always a let down and I cant stand those grins!
I HATE FRACTION´S ¨writting¨ OF THE CHARACTER!! Jason Aarom writes a way better Psylocke a clever one! :) the way she is.
But Fraction always makes her sound stupid and unsecure!! HATE his guts!!
In Weapon X, I like the fact that Logan gave the woman a number to call if he's in trouble, and the number was for Betsy and Kurt.
As for the light source in Uncanny, Psylocke's psychic knife was always described as the "physical manifestation of the totality of her telepathic powers," which means she is able to concentrate her powers to the point that they become visible. Concentrated death...and a handy light source (gotta love it)!
Betsy is in legacy, uncanny, wolverine and her own series thats freakin awesome!!
not sure her and logan will be friends after the end of Psylocke 04.
The Psylocke mini was/is suppose to take place slightly after her return, so I think that the action taking place in Uncanny and Weapon X are after their inevitable confrontation in Psylocke #4 (which I can't wait for)!
Yeah for Betsy!
Betsy is great in Weapon X.
I like these new X-covers of Betsy. She's definitely getting a great deal of exposure in the new year. Now it's time for her to get stronger roles.

Paquette's Psylocke is beautiful. I've said it before and I will say it again; she's gorgeous.

Such a shame that Land is the one drawing the Uncanny #520 issue... although it looks better than most of his usual work. But I love Dodson's art, so I'm really gonna miss it this time. At least she will hang out with Fantomex (BTW, he ALREADY killed the last Predator X?? How anticlimatic...).
As for the Wolverine issue, I adore Paquette's art, but he did a better work with Psylocke in Uncanny #512 - but this issue still looks good!
I just wonder why Betsy asked that woman if she was sleeping with Wolverine, she usually wouldn't make such a rude question to anyone (unless she is trying to know if the woman is really close to Wolverine or if she's setting up a trap for the X-Men; if that's the case, good work, Betsy! That would be Betsy behaving like in her good old Acts of Vengeance/Xtinction Agenda days). Anyway, I just hope that the blood in Logan's clothes isn't hers or Kurt's...
@FSaker - Hi. Yes, I love Paquette's art as well. And that statement is unusual coming from Betsy. Maybe Betsy's wild/kinky side is surfacing :)

I don;t think the statement is that unusal. Betsy is known for having an attitutde, plus she is really close to Wolvie. Wondering why this unknown woman is getting impressions from Logan makes sense. She could also be feeling a tinge of jealousy since she and Logan use to have a strong rapport and he didn't call out to her. It's like a sister who is worried about her brother and the type of girl he brings home.
I agree with the above. Psylocke is very straightfoward. That sounds like something she would ask with no problems.
I loved Paquette's art when he drew Betsy in Ultimate X-men. She looks like Ultimate Betsy here just older, I can see what she would have looked liked had they not canceled it. I'll pick this one up
As for Land...maybe his tracing as gotten a bit softer. I'll leaf through it & if it's good I'll buy it.
she's asking "are you sleeping with him?" the way a more experenced telepath would wonder why an unexperienced one has a bond with wolverine.
come to think of it, this is why i HATED her back when she wore the pink outfit. she would say things like this to people, especially havok, and it's like "what is your problem?"
i suppose it was her transformation that one me over.
i always thought she could see in the dark with her mind, and therefore using her knives to create light is silly.
I have never read that she could see in the dark. She was able to "see" when she was blind, but that was only with the use of her telepathy when other minds were around. To be able to see in the dark, I would imagine she would need to be telepathically linked to someone who is able to see in the dark.
Regardless, Colossus would need some form of light in order to get around, so I don't think that using her psychic knife as a light source is an improper manifestation of her powers.
