Spoilers: After Proteus fully possesses Blindfold's body, he takes each X-Men down one by one, except Colossus, whom is thrown all the way to the X-Jet. Nightcrawler ends up possessed by Proteus too. Proteus finds out he can take over more than one body at the same time. Rogue doesn't take chances, and absorbs Nightcrawler's powers, teleporting herself and everyone else outside of the lab. Psylocke is questioned about Proteus' existence since she looked into his mind earlier, and Betsy says that when Destiny was brought back to life, a piece of Proteus was too, probably because Irene died on Muir Island, a place saturated with Proteus' energy. Psylocke says Proteus used Destiny to lure them, so he could free himself from her body. The X-Men finally find Colossus, who is unconsciouness inside a broken X-Jet, when Proteus arrives once again possessing the bodies of Destiny, Nightcrawler and Blidnfold. Proteus confronts Betsy with her worst fear (that of being dead again), and ends up possessing her. The same happens with Trance and Husk. Rogue and Magneto are left by themselves, and Erik uses his powers to throw Colossus at Proteus. Rogue absorbs Betsy's powers and uses the psy-knife on him, but it's useless. Magneto then uses his powers to lift a piece of rock with him and Proteus (in Blindfold's body) on it, taking the fight to outer space.

I'm sure Betsy will be okay when Necrosha is over, Carey definitely wouldn't kill so many A-listers in the X-Men (Betsy, Kurt and Colossus) when Kyle and Yost themselves couldn't do it.
On the other hand, Blindfold may be a casualty... even though she doesn't do much, I hope she survives Proteus's possession.
I like Blindfold. I thought she was the only interesting creation in Whedon's run. I would be sad to see Trance go...It was a good issue, definitely the bridging piece of this arc.
Don't worry, Trance won't go. Carey adores her, he already stated that.
Trance and Bling! are safe in his hands, at least until Second Coming...
BTW, CBR posted some news about the DoomWar event, including some pages of it: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=24585
Look at the last page: am I seeing things, or the woman in front of Colossus is Psylocke with a helmet, facepaint and a cleavage in her buttfloss suit (as if she wasn't showing enough skin without the cleavage...)? I guess that means that she will participate in DoomWar, alongside Colossus, Wolverine and Nightcrawler (Cyclops and the White Queen also appear in the pages, but it seems that they stay in Utopia)...
Or maybe that's not Betsy and I'm just seeing things...
she does seems Betsy! very good then fsaker,it means she will be taking part to extramutant business in MU
@FSaker - I don't think that's Betsy. She looks more like one of the "tribes women" also present in the panel.
WOW!!! This was an amazing issue!!! I thought it developed Betsy's character far more than Fraction did in his arc 'about' psylocke. Really really good issue, Carey is amazing :D
sorry but its not psylocke
Yeah it's not Betsy, that's one of the Wakandan Royal Guards. They're all female.
This Legacy issue was fantastic. Great Betsy moments as well. even though Proteus kinda kicks her ass throughout it.
To be honest though, Proteus could kick everyone's ass....part from metal.
@FSaker - Thanks for the link.
Best,
centurion.
@FSaker - It does look like Betsy, and I think she has two swords attached to her back. It's a nice image.
Best,
centurion
she JUST got back. Good LORD if they kill her then wtf?!? They had best not!!
Also.. how many f***ing Xmen are there now??]
I'm buying Legacy 230-232 tomorrow and Psylocke 2 & 3 yay :D
Thanks for sharing the news with us LAB :)
I thought Psylocke has gone immune to Proteus' powers after being resurrected by her brother Jamie?
Red Queen undid all that silly immunity talk and now we never ever talk of Exiles at all lol
Dont think thats Betsy guys sorry to burst your bubble. Betsy could have atleast landed the knife on somebody instead of bloody Rogue swiping it from her.
Don't worry, people: she will survive Necrosha. Betsy is in not only one, but two Second Coming covers (one for the SC one-shot, one for the Uncanny X-Men issue in April). She definitely survives the fight against Proteus.
And thanks for the correction! Sorry for giving you all false hopes, but that Wakandan guard seems to have a lighter skin tone. Add the swords in her back (katanas?), the costume a little similar to Betsy's, and that's the reason for my confusion...
Psylocke should have used her TK katana to finish off the situation. If the psych-knife has failed during the situation, the TK katana definately would have solved the situation. Don't you guys think so?
Yeah, that could be Betsy, but we have to wait and see when the issue is printed to be for sure.
@FSaker - Yeah. It wouldn't make sense to resurrect Betsy then kill her off after she is beginning to ascend the ladder back to her A-List status.
