CBR X-Position: I have a very specific question about Psylocke's powers. I know she now is both a telepath and a telekinetic, and that Jamie Braddock enhanced Psylocke's telekinesis to a level even Rachel Summers could not match. He also made her immune to reality-warpers like Proteus, telepaths like the Shadowking, and highly resistant to magic. However, since her return and body-switch at the hands of "the Red Queen," this no longer seems to be the case.
In "Uncanny X-Men" #512, she even seemed to be unable to fly as Angel had to fly her into the Sentinel. For a telekinetic who was supposed to be able to "shatter mountains," she should have been easily able to deal with this primitive Sentinel on her own. Have Jamie's manipulations been undone (or have worn off) by the Red Queen? Or does this mean that Jamie lost his fight to the First Fallen?
I'll chime in here, Mike. Hi! X-Editor Nick Lowe, here! Your assumptions are correct, Saul. She didn't come back the same way that you last saw her. The way I look at it, she's got the same amount of power, but it's spread in different ways, between the telepathy and the telekinesis. Her TK is a lot more limited than it was, but it's still there, as you'll see in X-MEN: LEGACY #231.
Saul, you may also want to check out the "Psylocke" limited series currently on the stands written by Christopher Yost. It reviews her past, present, and other Psylocke-ological aspects of her powers and personality. Okay, X-plug over.

I like her tk working within her body and muscle memory to add force behind her fighting.
It makes her unique with her tk as opposed to the way it's usually displayed in fiction. No flying, lifting, or shields.
It's sad to know that she is weaker now... very sad... Wish she could keep her TK level at least. That does not mean she would use it to fly or stuff like that. But use it in a more clever way. Well, again, sad to know she can't use her TK in molecular level or use it to create her katana, etc...
oh no its the "my hand scott" scene all over again!!! Betsy messing with Jean and Scott ten years ago was funny, dont want her to try and get him again now.
Psylocke and Blindfold together! AWESOME!
Nice drawings of Betsy. The blindfolded girl is cute. Who is that? Reminds me of the days when Betsy was blindfolded. I am glad Betsy is making an appearance in Legacy. Legacy needed a boost to its cast of characters anyway. Betsy should alternate between Legacy and Uncanny. I think she fits well into both books.
@Anonymous 10:38PM - I really would like to see Scott ditch Emma for Betsy :) She is the only X-Woman telepath that he hasn't been in a long term relationship with.

Blindfold is one of the surviving students back from the New X-men/Academy X days.
I don't want to see Scott with Betsy. He has a thing for wrecking women in the end.
@Sky - Maybe a relationship between Scott and Betsy will work. I guess we won't know until it happens...

This is the same guy who did Dark Reign: Elektra. I love his art. It's not "flashy", but it's very crisp and straightforward. Personally, I would've preferred this over the art in the Psylocke mini. It's just too complicated and busy.
I also like the fact that her powers are "limited". I mean, she's still powerful, but not extremely so like Jean or Emma...
The limitations of her powers bring her martial arts to the forefront as well, which is the whole point of her being a ninja.
If she was Emma of Jean levels, she would have no use for her physical skills. She would just mentally shut everyone down, of just flatten them with a thought - and that's not who Psylocke is.
X-Men Legacy is one of the best Marvel books currently, so it's great to see her in it! Daniel Acuna's art is very different, but very beautiful! But who is drawing Legacy #231? It's definitely not Acuna (but it's good, too).
Nice to see Betsy interacting with Blindfold. But someone should please demand Scott to take his filthy hands off Betsy...
(okay, that sounds a bit harsh, but Scott's current "dictator" persona annoys me a lot)
Please, tell me that's the case! This means we can finally wave "farewell" to those annoying telekinetic powers that she so nonsensically acquired.
I would highly object to a relationship between Scott and Betsy, seeing as I hated the concept of them together during Nicieza's run.
Art-wise,both Acuna and Mann draw wonderful reditions of Psylocke.
I'm happy with the new powers. I found it really strange when she was flying and making force fields and the like. I think this power set better suits her personality and fighting style, and it's so awesome to see her butterfly and knife again!
@Adam - I agree here. The powers just didn't suit Betsy at all. They seemed to be a cross between Ms. Marvel powered Rogue and Jean Grey :)
Anonymous Dec 2 9:30Am - Hi. Your post got me thinking deeply. I think there is always potential for Betsy to grow into a more powerful telepath in the future. She is still formidable, but probably a bit below Emma. Mutants have been depowered, re-powered, over-powered and under-powered so many times throughout their lives :) I still think it is time for Betsy to be the premier telepath on the team.
