Toon Zone was able to catch up with superstar voice actor, Steven Blum, and Marvel Animation writer, Chris Yost. Steven Blum currently voices Wolverine in just about every Marvel animation or video game project. Chris Yost is one of the staff writers for Wolverine And The X-men and his experience with both the comic book world and animation world is impeccable as he currently co-writes X-Force for Marvel Comics with Craig Kyle. From the looks of it, Psylocke might show up again on the second season of Wolverine and the X-Men.
Toon Zone: What's the thinking of bringing new characters in on the Wolverine And The X-Men series, what's the balance?
Chris Yost: Well, I think with a property like X-Men it’s such a rich, big universe. You're always going to focus on the core: Wolverine, Cyclops, Beast, the group that we know and love. And then to see familiar faces like Psylocke or Scarlet Witch, all these characters come in and interact with them. You know the characters we know and love are kind of like the gateway to meet new people. So as a fan, the more people that we can get in there the better, but we are always going to keep our focus on the main characters.
Steve Blum: I'm happy about that.

Fsaker, you know I am going to be the first one to comment on this, buddy :) This is VERY promising for Psylocke. Although not a confirmation of a recurring role, it does suggest that she may have a greater role in the cartoon in the second season. I can't wait to see what Marvel has planned for Bets. Yost is the man! Maybe someone was watching our posts on this blog afterall :)
Best,
centurion.
Steven Blum is the definitive Wolverine voice actor in my humble opinion.
You were the first one this time, Centurion my friend...
Well, from Yost's answer, I couldn't tell if it was about the second season or about the animation as a whole; if that was the case, it would mean nothing to us, as Psylocke had already appeared in the first season. But then he also mentioned the Scarlet Witch, and I don't remember her appearing in any episode of the first season, so I guess it means he intends to use her (AND Psylocke, since she was mentioned alongside Wanda) in the next episodes. And that's good!
Plus, the second season is supposed to take place in the Age of Apocalypse, right? That means the X-Men may have a different formation in it. I hope Betsy gets to join the team this time!
Yes, all of this would be great, that is, if it happens, but what Mr. Yost said is promising and still leaves a glimmer of hope for Betsy to have a more substantial presence in the series!
Best,
centurion
Scarlet Witch actually in more episodes than Psylocke, due to her love story with Nightcrawler, and as Magneto's daughter.
I want Psylocke to be part of the main cast, but i guess i'll be happy so long as she appears again. With it being AoA though i wouldn't be too surprised if she didn't play much of a role, because she didn't appear in the original AoA series.

Well, she was never a part of the Brotherhood of Mutants either (except for her brief time with the Sisterhood, but that happened AFTER she appeared in the animation), but that didn't prevent the animation writers to put her with them, so I don't think her not being in the original AoA series is a problem.
Plus, her AoA design by Bachalo is VERY COOL with that ninja mask that made her look so dark and mysterious; Marvel would be stupid not exploring it in their animation...
getting thrown to the ground by emma's telepathy is a joke. i rather no psylocke at all than a psylocke who appears in a few scenes and is made a mockery of by that slut.
Well at least the slut exploded in the end!
