Isn't this the issue with the Psylocke vs. Ares variant cover? If so, let's hope this means that she will have a good amount of panel time in it!

And that she beats up Ares, or at least that he won't beat her up too badly (I love Betsy, but I recognize Ares may be too much of a challenge for her)...

Both Rogue and Psylocke are going up against Ares,I can't wait! :-D

FSaker said...

Yeah! Although I wonder if they will fight Ares at the same time...

well psylocke's telepathy is still too weak to face him...btw if she plays it telekinetic she might overcome him, she's faced worse than Ares with that

Yeah she faced Vargas and lost...

Both Rogue and Psylocke are seen in this issue? If this is true, I can't wait. Let's see how the Psylocke & Ares fight results.

Nope. People are commenting about Psylocke and Rogue because both appear in covers (but DIFFERENT covers) fighting Ares. Psylocke appears against Ares in UXM #513's variant cover, while Rogue faces Ares in X-Men Legacy #227's cover.

Which means they probably won't fight together; most likely, Ares will fight Psylocke first, then Rogue. I hope it doesn't mean that Betsy will be owned by him...

Don't get your hopes high, guys. I've been told this issue is basically the formation and introduction of the Dark X-Men to the media. Neither the Dark Avengers or the real X-Men do anything. :(

Thanks for the info, FSaker. It is always appreciated.

You're welcome, Centurion!

LuckyStar, please, do you know if Betsy at least appears in this issue? Even if she doesn't fight Ares, it would be nice to see her at least talking to other X-Men (preferentially Nightcrawler or Dazzler, who are two of her best friends) about the craziness in Utopia...

She does, but only for two background cameos without lines. LOL Like I said, the X-Men don't do anything. There are few Cyclops and X-Kids panels here and there, but that's it. It's all Dark X-Men. :(

if she lost to Vargas that was plot device... then what about Stryfe? or Cassandra Nova in x-men:the end?...or if you don't wanna count that the First Fallen? Valeria Richards in exiles? Rachael and Black Tom effortlessly in HoM? Vargas's victory had been meaningful and Rogue's vengeance on him by using her fighting skills without psyche was pretty...poetic i'd say...don't you think?
