I´m so excited with this... oliver copiel did a awesome job, but storm is beyond awesome... I dont fell confortable with the plot being bout a child but i love this team. not couse they are woman but because they are fantastic characters. seeing rogue flying make miss the strong sassy rogue. with a muscular sculpture. like jim lee era. I wish that someday she back to the power house mutant. Bout jubile I hate vampires in marvel, but i love the power set (strong fast agile) so i can live with the fact that she´s a vampire now, but hope they dont put some vampirism saga again. other personal wish of mine is that Monet (now that x-factor is over :( we all new that gonna happen but still sad couse was a strong core book) go to some x team. she´s powerfull and with a great stable personality. But she probably gonna die in the end of x factor.

I don't think I felt like I've ever waited this long for a comic book lol I hope it isn't Coipel's fault because I'd like for him to stick around on the book for more than just the opening arc.

47, please be careful with spoilers. Also, Wood stated he isn't going to make this all about Jubilee being a vampire. He said he wants to get more creative with her powers, but that it wouldn't be so melodramatic when Gischler was writing her as a vampire.

CmX sorry. You are right. But the x factor isn´t done so its still open what gonna happen. I´m sorry. Yes I was thinking that. I would like to see copiel alot in this book. Its my favorite artist. And I love what he´s doin here. I read that he will be also creative with betsy power set. I´m curious bout that. I´m glad that he didnt take away her tk. I love the way that her power set was showed in the psylocke solo.

Lol. Can't wait to see how they integrate Betsy into the "team" as she's conspicuously absent from the school.

@CmX - From what Wood has told, the first issue was indeed delayed because of Coipel - but that's because one of his relatives passed away recently, so he needed some time to cope with it. I guess he will return to this book later, although we already know that David Lopez (I think that's his name) will replace him for the book's two issues in the Battle of the Atom crossover.

And yes, this art is amazing! Storm looks incredible, and I love to see Rachel more feminine yet still edgy. Kitty... well, she looks okay, but she really needs a new uniform. Bendis said she will get a new one soon, so maybe after this first arc we'll get to see Ms. Pryde wearing something that doesn't look like those generic uniforms for the New/Young X-Men...

The only thing missing for this preview to be perfect? Psylocke, of course!

Yes, Fsaker! I agree with everything you just said. Kitty needs a new costume, so good news that she's getting one. I didn't know that. It kind of made sense that she was in a school uniform for a while, because her voice kind of grounds the team in the "classic, traditional" vision that Xavier had for the team, and that sense of being grounded in "reality" kind of explains why she goes by kitty rather than a code name. That said, it almost seems to take her out of the game, and is getting a bit old. I prefer her with a new costume and a codename.

We also really needed an artist to do Rachel justice - she's a much more interesting character than she's been made out to be, even visually. I love her mental toughness, keen sense of survival and self-reliance, but what made that classically interesting was the angst that she brought with her when she came to this timeline. She had a vulnerable side under that raw power and ability to survive. Keep her raw, but also give her credit where it's due (including visually.) glad marvel got past that whole skirt thing, that didn't suit her.

Monet would be perfect for this team! She would definitely bring that extra "oomph" to an all ladies cast. :-)

Dazzler all the way, even though they said she wouldn't be on it.

there gona have new x girls on the team? dazzler really need to have some credit... I only read the x treme couse of her. although it was not the best book. she was pretty cool. I like sage. she´s complex and original power set and personality. I hate this costume of rachel. And she´s been kida strange. I like her in starjammers and that costume simple and somehow fit in the character. I what to see if betsy is close to storm as in uxf. I love wood work in ultimate. he is a great writer. and made ultimate such a misterious and intriguing book with a great plot. although theres that problem with psylocke wich she´s not the same persona from previews run. but still a interesting character. some one know what is the next x event? not that i like the events couse it ruins the flow of the book in a independent way, but at least we can know how much in tune the writers are. I like that the book have this cast, but the fact that theres only girls make somehow impossible that in the future some male joins the team. wood make kitty one of the best charecters of marvel for my point the view. She´s so cool in ultimate. I wish he make that in regular universe. she was great in joss run. but then she´s become some how lost in motion. can

@47 - Wood said that the team will get a seventh member presented in the last page of the first issue. Although he didn't say the new member is necessarily a woman (but with six X-Women so far, it could be weird to suddenly introduce a man as a team member).

Dazzler would be a nice addition, but it seems she will now be featured in Uncanny X-Men as a SHIELD liaison or something like that. Sage could fit, but this team is about the most popular X-Women, and she's far from being a popular character. X-23 is currently in Avengers Arena, Emma and Magik in Uncanny X-Men, Dani Moonstar in Fearless Defenders, Polaris in X-Factor, so I guess they're all unavailable to this team. And Wood already said that Pixie isn't the new member...

If the seventh member is another woman, she may be someone at Wolverine's school. Maybe Frenzy, Cecilia Reyes, Warbird, Karma, but none of them are as important as the other six X-Women. Teen Jean is a good possibility (although, do we really need a third person with telepathy and telekinesis in the team??).

As for your question about the next X-event, this blog has already talked about it: it will be called "Battle of the Atom" and feature Wolverine's X-teachers, Cyclops's X-outlaws and Storm's X-Women discussing if they should send the original teen X-Men back to the past - and for some reason, some X-Men from the DOFP future will appear in it, too. The premise is kinda messy, but it can be interesting if done correctly.

IT seems like they are putting the popular women on this team. Jean is the only one left not feature so it might be her. Power set has nothing to do with it. Morrion's team had 3 telepaths. And this team needs a kid now that Kitty and Jubilee are grown up.
