Uncanny X-Force #17 Spoilers

Spoilers: Betsy finally transcends into Death. Meanwhile, Wolverine is having a hard time fighting AoA Iceman, but fortunately for him, Fantomex shows up to the rescue with the Amazing X-Men (Jean, Sabretooth, Wildchild, Nightcrawler and Sunfire) as Jean-Phillipe had seek Gateway's help to bring them to the 616 world. Nightcrawler teleports Genocide's helmet away, which leads to an explosion. Afterwards, they realize what's become of Psylocke and Fantomex is left to deal with her. Archangel retreats but Wolverine, Sabretooth, Wildchild and Sunfire go after him. Archangel chops Wildchild in half and orders Iceman to deal with Sunfire, while he takes on the other three. Psylocke cuts Fantomex's throat, and while she lowers her defenses, Jean enters her mind where Betsy is reliving a memory that brings her happiness: the first time she met Warren at a Hellfire Club dress up party. Jean then contains her Death persona and brings the real Betsy back. Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Sabretooth aren't having much success fighting Archangel, so the Phoenix steps in. Archangel deals with them easily and retreats to his HQ, where Psylocke and Fantomex are waiting for him.

Nice issue, really looking forward to the conclusion. I'm just hoping that if Warren if ganked, Betsy is the one to do it.

So she did become Death? Does it mean that Betsy will be forever tainted by the Death persona like Archangel and Gambit?

I hope not... poor girl already has her psyche messed up enough with the body swaps she suffered.

@FSaker

I was thinking the same thing. The Phoenix is supposed to burn away what dosen't work so I'm hoping it took care of Betsy's death persona. The last thing she needs, or for that matter the readers, is another persona in her head.

I enjoyed this issue. Love seeing Jean, Kurt and Sunfire appear since you don't get them much these days. Hopefully Betsy has made up her mind on Warren.

The seed implant is recent, Jean helped her recognize and reject that, probably. If her mind does not accept it, I believe she is strong and powerful enough not to let it dominate her.
And besides, there is no mention to that in her post-Schism appearances, but it still might be touched in the future.
I really did not expect that Jean would be the one to pull Betsy out of that, Remender sure does know how to use each elemente he introduces in his context.
Totally waiting for the conclusion!!

I hope the end does not set room for Psylocke dating Fantomex...
I really want her to be left alone right now...she is getting more demand on and space for herself...

Agreed with Eduardo. To quote Warren on my feelings about Fantomex, "I've never liked you..." But then again, Psylocke's done worse. Anyone remember Neal Sharra AKA Thunderbird? Total loser who could shoot fire out of everywhere but did diddly-squat to avenge Psylocke after she was murdered by that idiotic Vargas character.
