Secret Wars' "House of M" Series Announced

Newsarama: Marvel has announced via Hero Complex a new House of M series set in the midst of Secret Wars' Battleworld. This new series follows in the line of other Secret Wars associated series, using the What If? concept on a major event - in this case, What if the original House of M never ended?

Set in the Battleworld domain known as the Monarchy, this new House of M series is written by Dennis Hopeless and illustrated by long-time X-Men artist Kris Anka. Hopeless says the series fill focus mostly on the ruling family of Magneto, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Curiously, there's no mention if House of M will reflect recent continuity changes in Axis that retconned out the fact that Magneto is not in fact the father of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

In addition to Magneto, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, House of M will also reportedly feature Namor and, surprisingly, Fin Fang Foom. No firm date or month has been revealed for this new House of M series.

Psylocke was featured in the original teaser for House of M, however she's neither pictured in the cover, nor mentioned by Hopeless.

Damn! That was my last hope.

I can't believe Psylocke is getting completely ignored by Marvel in Secret Wars. Of course I didn't expect her to be a prominent player in the main miniseries or to appear in every tie-in, but I thought she would be featured in at least two or three of the X-Men-related books. For now, we only know she's getting a cameo (probably a small one) in the first issue of the Inferno tie-in... and that's all. Absolutely disappointing.

Agreed. It's because most writers don't know how to write her. Betsy is an aggressive, confident, and challenging woman... so she's hard to sell to the idiot fanboys. They are more comfortable with Mary Sues that remind them of mom. This is why Jean Grey is/was so popular... even post death.
