Uncanny X-Force #22 Spoilers

Spoilers: Krokwel and Betsy’s deal is conducted. He provides her and Fantomex transport to the nearest Earth portal. Fantomex tells Betsy he knows she doesn’t have feelings for him and only made her doubt her love for Warren in order for her to do what had to be done. Fantomex wants Betsy to reveal how she got Krokwel to help them, but she refuses to say. Meanwhile Nightcrawler convinces Wolverine they should be helping the people of Otherworld against the invaders. They are suddenly attacked by an army of Dragon riders zombies. Meggan and Kurt are separated from Wolverine and Deadpool. Logan and Wade finally make it to the Goat’s chamber where they face him. At the same time, while reaching the Earth portal, Fantomex and Betsy are ambushed by the Skinless Man. It’s revealed that once, the Skinless Man was part of the Weapon Plus program as Weapon III. He was sent to Otherworld to acquire the Orb of Necromancy. It turned out someone inside Weapon Plus didn’t want him to get the Orb, so Fantomex was sent to stop him. James Braddock eventually found him and sentenced him to have his skin removed. Fantomex later stole his skin and used as sentient bullets. Now the Skinless Man is back for revenge, ripping Fantomex’s skin off.

I just wish the art would be a little more descriptive. I still can't tell if she is in her original British body or her Japanese one...and at this point in the story, I feel like little details like that should be clear.

Fantomex's skin is ripped off? Ouch, that must hurt. A lot.

One question: when he says that Betsy didn't love him and that he just made her think she did, did she seem to be convinced or is she insecure? The latter would indicate that she might actually love him.

Although he is good at manipulating women's desires, after all. He did it to Jean Grey in Morrison's run.

JD,
Couldn't agree more. I've been exteremly disappointed with the art in this arc. Downright disgusted at times, actually. LOL.

Does fantomex love besty cause he kinda seemed to be a bit disapointed that she didnt really feel that for him. Plus when he had first awoken he seemed genuinly concerned for her asking if she was hurt. So it seemed like he might care for her

I'm finding that this overworld arc isn't flowing as well as the previous x-force comics. I dunno it seems like way to much is going on at once.

Yes. This arc has a totally different feel than all the previous ones. There is so much going on and I feel we havent even scratched the surface of Otherworld yet. Also this issue again left me to question Psylocke's powerset. She's knocked unconscious by this stretchy guy who then threatens to crush her. Does she have super strength and invulnerability, (as a Britian) or is this guy just THAT powerful. Doesn't really seem like it. Another thought i had was that she traded in her Britian abilities to the wizard in order to save Fantomex. Maybe this is what the wizard meant when he asks if Fantomex was worth it. Just a thought. But the inconsistency with her powers is bothering me in this arc.
