X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back #4 Preview

Cover by: Stuart Immonen

Pencils: Sara Pichelli

The Story: You can’t pick your parents. And if you could, Pixie certainly wouldn’t have picked Mastermind, the man who turned Jean Grey into the Dark Phoenix. But right now, that’s the least of her problems. A giant demon named Saturnine has been using her Pixie dust to lull her fellow X-Men into submission and it’s worked. Now he’s one step away from all the power he needs to take control of the world. Can the fast-talking Welsh girl with wings possibly stop him?

Cute art! I like psylocke's action poses here, although it's improbable that a kick would slice a monster in half.

telekinesis helps you in that matter I guess! hate pixie but the dialogues are really funny and the art is very cute indeed....wish the hair was purple though!

It's unfortunate because I like the artist, Pichelli's art has improved quite a lot since last I saw her, but I can't get past Immomen's awkward dialogue. Which is unfortunate because the characters being used are ones I love to read.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else find the way Immomen writes a glaring problem?

it does feel a little disjointed. Lovin Emma and Betsy fighting side by side ;)

Like I said about last issue, Betsy, Emma and Kurt are my favorite X-team right now! I love all three of them!

It's always great to see that many writers and artists really feel like using her in their stories; I always feared that when Claremont let her go, maybe no one would like to write Psylocke, but fortunately it seems that EVERYONE wants to write Psylocke nowadays!

Plus, I love the Immonen + Pichelli team!

...also, i'm not comfortable with the fact that they're senselessly killing off these cute little monsters. Well, maybe it's a killed or be killed situation here, but still... cute monsters!
