The first video of the Wii version of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 has been released. Psylocke is one of the characters featured! You can pretty much check some of her moves, as well as the Wii graphics here. Have fun!

Excellent. Now we get to see Betsy in video game action! We haven't seen this for a while. The only exception was the re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
She looks awesome. I saw a psychic knife slash attack and the ranged attack from the screenshot. She also has a double jump/backflip thing.
I love that they gave her a butterfly effect too.
Wow, the screenshots seemed to show quite poor graphics for the Wii version, but the video compensates that showing a much better animated game than the previous one! It looks really fluid, and that's great!
And Psylocke, as usual, rocks!! Great fighting skills, and they even remembered to give her the butterfly effect! It seems she will be like a mix of Elektra and Jean Grey... a winner combination, for sure!
Yes, Fsaker. You're right. This image is clearer and shows a well rendered and quite attractive Betsy. This is going to be a good month for Betsy in the gaming world!
Psychic Butterfly? Well I'm sold!
I'M TRULY ASTONISHED! :-D
I hope and pray she is available for downloadable content for the PC version!Sadly,I don't have a Wii.
I hate that she wasn't a main character for the real versions and available on all platforms with actual graphics. This looks very low quality. I am glad for the fans I guess, but it isn't fair for everybody. So many unnecessary characters are in the game for every platform and my favorite character is only in this meaning I won't get to play her :(
I wonder if Bets is pro or anti-registration?
centurion you choose your team and then you choose if you want them to be pro or anti.
So it's basically up to the player.
Thanks, Anonymous :)
Wasnt she at the mansion during civil war? Did she ever choose a side?
If i had to guess judging by her personality and general under handed sneakiness she would be anti but she was a member of the military...hmm still guessing anti though.
Nah she was in the Exiles whilst civil war was goin on, and i think in the comics she would of been anti, but in the game u can choose either : )
That's true.
I always wondered why Claremont didn't try to write an Exiles/New Exiles tie-in in any of the major 616 sagas. For instance, they could have a mission in which they had to choose a side and fulfill some minor tasks in Civil War, or they could be sent to stop an enemy trying to kill the messiah baby in Messiah Complex. The Exiles had a tie-in story with House of M, so it could work to write tie-ins to other 616 sagas.
If he did that, at least we would be able to see Psylocke taking part in these sagas, regardless of how minor her participation would be or how bad Claremont would have written these stories...
lol true say, but those days are long over now!!! XD
@Fsaker - Hi. A very intelligent and thoughtful comment, as always! I thought about something similar during the New Exiles run. So many ideas could have been approached to tie in Exiles/New Exiles to Earth 616, but that potential was wasted on ideas that were quite bizarre and at times irrelevant to many readers IMHO.
Best,
centurion
@Centurion - Thanks! And yes, although the Exiles/New Exiles title should consist mainly of stories in other dimensions, it wouldn't hurt to see the team occasionally helping the 616 universe.
Come on, instead of letting Betsy help her X-Men fellows to protect the messiah baby, he decided to bring her to Earth-616 to attend some party and fight that Rouge-Mort (or something like that) weirdo?? That was a completely wasted opportunity...
As Psychilde said, unfortunately, these ideas probably won't be revisited with Betsy on the Exiles... Too bad. I hate it when a book is canceled because it had the opportunity to succeed but failed to exploit other creative dimensions... If there was one book among many that allowed for the a substantial level of creativity, it would have to be Exiles. What I wanted to see in New Exiles was Betsy communicate with some of those alternate reality alter egos who were being murdered by Slaymaster.
FSaker the reason why CC didn't participate in Civil War, Secret Invasion, Messiah Complex etc., is because by that time the X-Office were already trying to push CC' as far away from the core x-title as possible.
Thank God.
Really? But if Marvel is so concerned to keep Claremont away from the X-verse, why don't they just fire him, or convince him to retire?
Well, anyway, is it today that DA/UXM:Exodus will be released? Or is it tomorrow? I'm curious to see if Psylocke has any other appearances in this issue besides the cover and those two small panels impaling Dark Beast with her katana while Dr. Nemesis and Madison Jeffries help her...
Fsaker@ - that's a good question. I can't offer any insight into this at all... Maybe Marvel has faith that Claremont will eventually write another X-Book that will elevate him to fame again. I don't think that terminating his contract with Marvel is necessary, but it is possible if Marvel's bottom line suffers due to Claremont's work - that's the nature of business. Although Claremont's recent work pales in comparision to his work in the 80s and 90s, I still feel that without him, iconic characters like Psylocke, Emma and so many other endearing female X-Men would not exist.
Centurion, I agree, his contribution to the X-verse is undeniable. And I'm not saying Marvel should disregard that, but if his current work is bad, his past shouldn't justify his presence in the main titles. Maybe he should be asked to begin a brand new book with only brand new characters, then.
Oh well, anyway, I'm still waiting for news on DA/UXM:Exodus (Comic Book Resources said it would hit shelves "this Wednesday", aka today; yet in the same text it is said the book would hit shelves on "September 10", aka tomorrow...).
@Fsaker. Hi. I was just getting ready to agree with you and post this point. It is to Claremont's credit that many of the most popular, memorable, and long-lasting X-Men were either co-created or created entirely by him. This is ESPECIALLY very true for the majority of the female X-Men. However, creating characters and defining them to the point where they are lucrative for decades are two entirely different things. If writing comics doesn't seem to be an avenue for recurring success with Mr. Claremont anymore, perhaps there are other X-Men projects he could focus his attention on...
