Oh Betsy!!!! How can I save you from the cringefest?

Clownish look on mute she looks gorgeous and living the thicc life.

XForce looks interesting. I have a phobia of deep dark ocean depths and I always was curious of what lurked in the sea that Krakoa floats on lol

And looks like Betsy will be fine and well in January!

At least you weren't killed. Phew.

Okay, so Betsy survives X of Swords. So do Storm, Wolverine and Magik (and the Hellions). Marvel is terrible at keeping secrets (but I'm not complaining).

As for Children of the Atom... I wonder, is this book even necessary? The same question applies to that S.W.O.R.D. book that Marvel has already announced; my fear is that once again the X-line will have so many titles that many readers will be scared away from it...

Then again, Vita Ayala is writing it, so the story is probably good.

The line is definitely getting bloated again and Marvel is getting greedy. Won't be long before only XMen and maybe XForce are the only high sellers.

This is not even including the XCorps and Moira book that Hickman talked about eventually coming.

IMO they should cancel Children of Atom (it looks cringey, do we really need NEW xkids?) There are so many xstudents that aren't used but here we go again creating more that will just fall into limbo whenever this book ends.

At this point is pretty obvious that Doug is gonna bite the dust

Mixia said...

Yes, Doug and probably Apocalypse. There is also no Cable book in the X-Solicits ...

I'm praying that Apocalypse bites the dust. Excalibur would be much better without him being everywhere and manipulating everyone. Maybe Rogue and Gambit will have more thab 2 lines a issue.

randybear said...

I really think Apocalypse deserves to die with how he has manipulated everyone and even his own family trying to kill him lol

People simp for Apocalypse "omg daddy A!!" Cringe af forgetting all the horrific terrible things that he has done over the decades but yet these same dumbasses wanna drag Betsy through the mud and label her irredeemable for being stuck in Kwannons body.

You cant reason with stupidity 🤦🏻‍♂️

Dang I wish I could get updates when they post stupid stuff? Do I need to talk to them again? Lol.

BTW, Wolverine, Cable and SWORD are still solicited for January just not included in this post. So that brings the total of ONGOING (none are minis) xtitles to 11. Soon to be 13 whenever the XCorps and Moira book eventually are announced.

Marvel just doesn't learn... the Dawn of X starting line was perfect in size and all the books were doing consistently well and had plateaud decently but they had to fuck it up 🤦🏻‍♂️

@Psi-Girl, that's a good idea. I mean, after the way Beast treated Colossus, I doubt he'll want to continue with the X-Force. Though I think maybe he'd fit better with the Marauders (and no, that's not because of his on-and-off romance with Kitty, but because of his close friendship with both Kitty and Storm - Nightcrawler should also join them).

@randybear, EXACTLY! The X-line is getting bloated, and that's a terrible idea. And from what I remember, some of the X-Men in the SWORD book are already shown in other books, right? And the New Mutants were already exploring the space in other arcs of theirs, so what's the point of this new book?

And while Moira definitely deserves to get attention in this new era, they could do so by having her in the main X-Men book, with her story running in parallel to whatever the Krakoan X-Men are doing. She's a main character in the line now, so it only makes sense for her to be in the main X-book.

I still think Betta dies ....they specifically mentioned in latest Excalibur that if you die in Otherworld, you come back changed....this will happen to Betts...with her psychic signature looking like a slightly formed butterfly, she will get full Butterfly back when she & Kwannon both die ...Kwannon will be happy in a new body that Betsy never touched...Betsy will end up getting better connected to Otherworld ...I really don't think the other books will explore the worlds in Otherworld but Excalibur will

I hope the cancel COTA before they ruin their XM books lineup.

randybear said...

I think they originally were going to cancel it due to being delayed (yes COVID delayed a lot) but they were quiet about it for months. I guess they have restored faith in it now.

People are speculating these characters are the first generation of chimera mutants but either way these characters are so generic. Literally gender/race swaps of existing xmen. They make all the rest if the xkids look so much more interesting and unique IMO.

randybear said...

also if you guys look at the video Marvel uploaded about COTA it has a large amount of dislikes and hardly any likes lol youd think Marvel would get a clue they should have just made it a mini series.

But Jamie could just bring her back, bypassing the 5. Betsy made him bring Brian back near the beginning of this Excalibur run.
