Uncanny X-Men #6 Spoilers

Spoilers: In Chernaya, right after shifting back into Archangel, Warren attacks Magneto. Erik tries to lure Archangel back to X-Man’s side to no avail. Magneto blames Betsy for taking away his peace and disappears. Archangel turns his attention to Psylocke and accuses her of putting his bloody Archangel persona back in control. Betsy is devastated. Jean’s team arrives on the scene, and Storm asks Warren to help them find X-Man. Hours later, Archangel leads the X-Men to Nate Grey’s hideout in Canada. Magneto, Blob and Omega Red appear before them. Soon after, X-Man himself makes his presence known. Jean tries to reason with him, who no longer considers himself as her son nor goes by the name Nate, only X-Man. Nate reveals he was the old lady Jean talked to in issue #1. Nothing Jean says gets through him. Betsy suggests subduing him once and for all, to which Jean and Storm agree. All twelve X-Men engage against Nate Grey, who easily overpowers them. Nate is especially irritated with Jubilee, throwing her far way. Jubilee lands right before the New X-Men students, who have just arrived with Madrox and Legion. Armor approaches X-Man, who admits he is dying and that’s why he wants to heal the world before his life comes to an end. Legion can’t take no more of Nate’s nonsense and banishes him to the Age of Apocalypse. Right then, X-Man, Pixie, Armor, Glob and Rockslide find themselves at the Age of Apocalypse, but the students are now donning a different, hellish look.

Wait, the Age of Apocalypse still exists? I thought it was destroyed with the prelude to Secret Wars (and good riddance, considering the mess it had become, with Jean becoming Apocalypse AND Phoenix).

I wonder if the Age of X-Man event will consist of Nate altering the AoA timeline, or if he'll merge it with the "prime" timeline.

By the way, the spoiler wasn't very clear in one point: were the students also banished to the AoA timeline? Or are the students with Nate their AoA counterparts?

The art got a little better as the issue progressed but still a jarring style compared to the other rotating artists on this title, imo.

@FSaker, While it was mentioned they were going back to AoA it appeared more like Limbo and nothing resembling AoA and I'm assuming that's why the students took on a demonic look due to being in hell now.

@CmX, Thanks for the explanation! But still, are these the "mainstream" version of the X-students? If so, shame on Legion for banishing them along with Nate, especially after they believed in him and helped him to confront X-Man.

The art in this was just ok....I prefer Silva's art as he draws her more graceful & makes her hair look more wavy

This story seems to be dragging now....

This story is almost over with & still dragging. Horrible way to relaunch Uncanny. Then again it's all building to their Age of X-Man event. Maybe that'll be better.

It's the 616 students yes. I dont think Legion intended to send the students he kinda just impulsively does it
