Uncanny X-Force #1 Spoilers

Spoilers: Outside LA, Psylocke and Storm fly together. Betsy tells her about X-Force, while Storm assures she doesn’t want Psylocke to fall into destructive habits again. We learn that Psylocke’s attempt to teach at the Jean Grey School didn’t really work out, so Wolverine had to dismiss her. Meanwhile, Storm’s mind is also not in a right place since she’s working out her anger over her failed marriage. Psylocke tells Storm about an e-mail she received from Puck warning about a drug dealer selling TAO, a drug that makes people suscetible to a hive mind mentality. Psylocke and Storm meet Puck at a bar, and he leads them to an old bank from the 20’s that the drug dealer – the diva of downtown LA - uses to sell drugs and dance. Storm and Psylocke realize it’s Spiral. Betsy doesn’t hold back and attacks Spiral. Meanwhile, Storm and Puck head to the bank vault, since it’s where Spiral hides something. Ororo and Puck find a scared little girl inside the vault, who’s upset Psylocke is fighting Spiral. The little girl mentally orders the people at the club to attack Betsy. Elsewhere in LA, Bishop finally manages to make his way back to Earth 616. In Paris, Jean-Philipe and Cluster steal together, and end up kissing each other.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, this is very interesting development far as Cluster and Jean. WOW, no wonder she got kicked out from the school.

Huahauhua Fantomex and Cluster kissing?? Wow, that is what it means being in love with your own self ehehh
Why would Puck ever send an email to Psylocke??

From what I understood, Puck sent the email to Wolverine, and he forwarded it to Psylocke (that's why his final panel in this issue has Logan telling her to check her email). After all, when Puck meets Storm and Psylocke, it seems that he never met Betsy before.

Speaking of this encounter, Betsy was kinda bitchy this issue. She said a lot of censored words throughout the story, was kinda rude to Puck and kicked Spiral in the face before any planning. Not exactly what I was expecting from her (...maybe it has something to do with the six-months gap when she and Fantomex went missing?).

Not a bad first issue at all, but I must admit I was expecting quite more from it. I hope the next issues improve over this one (after all, from Humphries's interviews, it's obvious that this book is full of great ideas; he just needs to implement them correctly to have one of the best Marvel NOW! books).

Of course fantomex is so in love with himself
....we should have known!

I suppose that was to characterize her emotional instability upon what went through the six month gap which will surely be shown farther in the title.
She does not want to talk about it now to make us all curious heh

I loved this issue so much.

I get what you mean about Betsy being a bit bitchy, but I do kind of love this new fierce version of her and just see it as an evolution of her and the springing into Spiral's face was pretty understandable, all things considered. I really can't wait for the next issue!

Enjoyed the first issue, it was worth the wait for me. I do like seeing Betsy's ferocity being brought out and I am interested to see what's changed with her in the last six months. Hopefully however it will not be the only thing she's known for because going one-on-one against Spiral is not a recipe for anyone's success.

I like that they are portraying Spiral as someone looking to belong and be loved/adored, I don't know how much of her reaction is based on the mysterious little girl or on Tao, but it seems to me that Spiral's presence in the club for that long and that frequent are highly questionable.

I also like her to be bad-ass when necessary, not all the time. But I prefer when she uses her inteligence and telepathy. I think it suits her a bit more. The last defeat of the Shadow King was very well handed.
Anyway, the title leaves us wandering about Spiral and Bishop and what has happened to Betsy and Fantomex. Let's check how they will be delivered. The beggining is nice, but it can grow.

I can understand why Betsy's being so bitchy. She went through so much with Warren while having an attraction to Fantomex. Warren dies she kinda moves on for better or worse to Fantomex just for him to do the same. He gets clones just for him to end up in three bodies & the one who seemed to want her leaves her for himself.

What if the part of Fantomex's brain was the brain that is actually the sentinel in some twisted way & not the other two parts?

I also noticed that Betsy's katana is called the shurayuki(snow blood) is also the name of an old Japanese action/revenge series. It's about the daughter of a woman who is raised to avenger the death's of her father & brother & her mom's assault at the hands of a group of bandits.

I wonder if this is supposed to be the same sword Betsy was so adamant that Warren go back & get for her way back in the previous series?

I love this characterization of Psylocke. I prefer her cut and dry. I think she's being written with serious strength here.
