Stryker's forces score one casualty early, but who wins the battle? At the same time the New Mutants are hitting Bastion's second-in-command, Cameron Hodge. Think the writers will leave X'ian without a left leg and give her prosthesis?? Or will Elixir regrow her left leg??

I'm just thinking since "Second Coming" is supposed to be more gritty with a serious undertone of death and stuff "for good" theme..

Or X'ian could die all together, bleeding out in the jet.. :(

Okay, I finally gave up on trying to avoid spoilers. My curiosity is stronger than me.

But gosh, I thought Hodge had only impaled Shan's leg, but it seems he actually cut it off her body! Poor girl, I hope Elixir can regrow her leg after that - although it probably hurts to regrow a lost limb...

Carey's text seems to be good, and Land's art looks surprisingly good - still below Roberson (the best one so far), Finch and Dodson, but much better than what Land was presenting us in Uncanny X-Men. It's nice to see that for once, we may be getting a crossover event where all the stories have good art (I can't say if they all have good text because I didn't read them, but some readers commented that even Fraction's issue had an okay text, so...).

Oh, and not related to the crossover, but it sucks that CBR didn't post the Finch variant cover to this Legacy issue (we've seen the illustration of Rogue with all the copied powers, but I wish we could see the final cover with the stylized X-Men Legacy title in it and all).

Hey apparantly Bersy appeared in X-Factor forever #2 and she is at least mentioned by Jean in this preview for X-Men Forever Annual #1:

Does that mean in the X men forever continuity there is no kwannon? That would make psylocke sooo much more simple

I must say that Greg Land does a beautiful a beautiful Rogue! I remember the Cameron Hodge from the 80s when the X-Men were in Genosha. Glad to see this monster is back to torment a new age of X-Men. I wish the authors would touch on the philosophical issues of how Cameron's evil and sinister persona/mind was shaped by his mind being confined to that horrid monstrosity of a form. I remember when Claremont was writing his character that he tried to be "human" even though much of his physical human form and his mind were very much similar to a machine.

He does a good Rogue but I don't like the collagen injected lips. He's done that to Betsy also. I don't mind if he traces because he is talented and the pages end up looking great, but actually drawing women with wide-mouthed fish lips is not very becoming of them. It's like, I know girls in porn have breast implants sometimes, but that doesn't mean you have to draw an additional crease to delineate the contours of the implants - you can improve a little and make them look like natural big boobs. That's what I mean with the lips.

In general I like Land, except I hate his Psylocke. It's kind of observant of him to give her smaller hips because she's asian and you don't see too many hip-y asian girls and she's athletic and sleek. But please get rid of the tousle-me-softly hair product, the collagen lips, and make her consistently hot - not Jackie Chan in one panel and then Priscilla Presley the next.

Otherwise, these pages rock. The drawings are real good.

I agree that this is much better drawing for Land than in Uncanny, but rouges boobs are a little out of control.

Maybe Karma is the leader candidate that cyclops was scoping out. It would be interesting if she ends up physically challenged like Xavier was and ends up leading the x-men from a distance and in the future.

I can imagine that elixer could not grow her leg back or that they could give her some king of cybernetic leg. Unless of course there is some kind of techno virus blah blah reason why they cant do that.

I assume they cut off her leg so that they can enhance her physically since she's a bit useless without her power.

I agree - Rogue's (not Rouge, which means 'red', haha) boobs are so overpowering in the third panel of the third page. How come they're smaller in the first panel of the sixth page? Does going through Ariel's portal somehow cause boob shrinkage? That would be an interesting weapon against the enemy if all else fails: shrinkage.

I'd like to see Warlock and Doug do some damage. Otherwise I can see why they were killed off in the first place, and so please learn from past mistakes, creative team.

Psylocke, please stop being so sensitive and more fierce. I really hope they don't get out of hand and make her on the verge of whiny.

How can you tell that's her? Since the colors are desaturated, the only distinguishing features in common with Betsy is that it has eyes, a nose, a mouth and some hair. :/

purple hair in a side parting maybe?

It looks like a 'What If?' issue where everybody got turned to vampires. I'm guessing vamp Jubes survived whatever got them all, which is why her head is not on a spike and how she came to be part of this 'We are the X-Men' thing.
