Looks like what they were talking about when they said that "one of them wont walk away from it" is Karma losing a leg.
If that's the case, I think its really good writing to have done that. They are at war, and there are many soldiers who come back from war disfigured. Its almost has more impact than killing off one of them, which only lasts one issue usually. Unless of course elixer grows her leg back somehow, Karma will be a reminder of what happened.
Although I'm trying to avoid spoilers for Second Coming, it was impossible not to give a look at Choi's fantastic art! Why is this guy not working in Uncanny instead of Land?
Betsy's back looks good, but I wish we could see a panel with her face (I mean, in the preview; of course, there will most likely be some panels with her face in the actual comic book). But her hair doesn't look purple...
Poor Karma, whatever happened to her, it seems to hurt a lot. Well, at least she's alive, and I guess Elixir could heal her 100% later.
it's rare that you see something rendered as *actually* painful in a comic book -- usually just explosions and KO's and whatnot. Easy to ignore, stuff we're automatic to. But whatever's happened to Karma really looks like it hurts, makes me care about her. Kudos to the writer and artist!
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

Psylocke by Choi, finally!
At least her uniform is covering most of her ass this time.

lol I so knew someone was going to comment on her ass. I wanna see her face by Choi, thats make or break.
X-men should be more action orientated like this more often.

if you look in the first preview page, 1st panel, bottom right of bastion I think that might be Betsy.
Is injuring Karma really necessary?! Kill Magma or Sunspot before i die of boredom!
