What a ridiculous fight scene. How on earth could Betsy get taken down by a cheap invisible-woman with a whip? Even if her mind is undetectable, Betsy is a telekinetic. Block the whip, then blast that skirt for gumdrops sake.

I love Land's Butterfly and glowing eyes though <3

Usually I really like Fraction's dialogues, but "Impossible, even her thoughs are transparent" is sitting at the verge of ridiculousness...

I mean, ok, maybe her thoughs are transparent and I could see why's that a problem to you, and all... but you are seeing her gloves, right?? It's so stupid...

@2 Rombos - Exactly!! Betsy shouldn't even bother searching for her mind, just send a nice kick in the direction of the gloves! Then proceed with the psi-knife and there you go!

Although in Betsy's defense, she just got some minor cuts in these preview pages; she's definitely in good enough condition to proceed with the fight and then do what we suggested her to do.

The worst dialogue, BTW, has to be Cyclops calling Magneto "old man" (it's not worse because he didn't say "old dude"). Since when Scott uses slangs in his talk? The guy was always formal in speech, he's supposed to be a general, not a man trying to sound younger than he really is...

I'm so over scott and Emma! Why would Mutopia's two leaders leave to check up on Magneto instead of sending a team of other less used mutants to check up on him. Fraction just wants to have an excuse to give these two more face time! Where is Dazzler Dammit!

Why Is wolverine always striking people with killing blows. I thought X-men weren't suppose kill people just apprehend them? Isn't that why they forced Feral of X-force to turn herself in for murdering her family while wolverine gets to run around killing as many people as he likes. Hypocrites!!!!

"Impossible. Even her thoughts become transparent..."

uhm. HELLO. Floating whip and gloves right there!

I don't think Faction knows what to do with Betsy's powers. She's either a lobotomy nurse, or a flashlight in a bikini.

To be fair, we'll have to wait until this issue comes out.

I think your right it would be fair to wait, but historically speaking, I dont have much hope for this issue.

Anyways, I think your also on the money about not knowing what to do with her powers, did she suddenly lose her tk in this scene? Why do they always have her running around threatening to use her psy-blade and then never using it? The most effective that it has been was in the last issue as a flashlight. It seems like all the other books that Betsy has been in have writers that understand her powers better than the main book. It's getting kind of ridiculous, it seems than no matter what Betsy is doing, she has her psi-blade manifested. Has she once used it in this series the way that it is supposed to work?

Yup looks like Fraction wants us to love the characters that he loves, just as much as him. I think Fatomex will save the day. Wish Fraction would let Psylocke do some a** kicking. Why would she suddenly not be able to handle herself out in the field and against lame villians. Psylocke's tackled harder guys before.

I find it very funny that they are writing characters that know everything about the x-men and how their powers work when the writers clearly don’t.

I´m so tired of fraction issues. action scenes are so pointless. I´m tired of this art too. playmates fighting and orgasm faces. Jim lee was the one who really create the looks for her. I want Betsy from 90´s the ninja with bad ass atitude and arrogance.
Yost should right uncanny;(

Betsy used her TK during the Sisterhood arc and in issue 512-as well as the Utopia Exodus One Shot (though for one panel)

I am glad however that she even has her telepathy back to USE. The years after her death and her period with the Exiles were not that long ago, so i am just happy she is being used-i feel that outweighs mistakes being made-for the MOMENT. Keep in mind that this has all been a part of one story arc since Utopia's ending. The next story arc may include more of the X-Men as Fraction's said in interviews recently.

I've also realized that while she's not used to her fullest potential, her own creator Chris Claremont has abused and misused his own character, and many others after him, so there have been writers worse than Fraction tackling Ms. Braddock. But Yost has really impressed me.

I enjoyed Fraction's writing before this current story arc, and look forward to it once this arc is over...
