Those unnecessary petals. Just make them little butterflies.

I read the first issue and liked it a lot. All the heroes in the comic felt restored to who they are.

I must be blind. They don't look like petals to me lol, but they prob are cause I do kinda recall Marcus To saying he was kinda trying to do petals for her, but it might be too much.

I also thought I saw a cover yesterday that had Forge/Storm/Mystique on it for X-Force but don't quote me, I was scrolling fast on FB it could have been a fanmade cover or something.

I was just thinking it'd be nice seeing Storm and Betsy again if it was true.

@Daud, I actually don't mind the petals or whatever way this is that her telekinesis is manifesting. Sometimes all the butterfly iconography is a bit much for me. Especially when they make them look like actual real insects versus butterfly-like. (Like her psi-self/astral form looks like a butterfly but also otherworldly and not like an actual true insect.) I like her butterfly astral form and her butterfly power signature over face and head, but I don't feel like all her power signature manifestations have to be butterfly-like. For instance, when she manifested that giant psychic butterfly that actually looked like a real butterfly on that skyscraper, I hated that. I also didn't really like the butterfly telekinesis shields and bolts she showed recently in that online comic. These petals or dots or whatever are subtle and not over the top. I think they feel complementary versus hitting us over the head with her liking butterflies. I dig.

I still don't see petals per se, but I agree @Rahsaan. Its definitely a unique way to show us she's using her tk from others using tk to levitate.

(which i guess again confirms she is using just her mutant abilities for flight and not CB).

I did like the butterflies she created in the online comic though lol.

I interpreted that time as her having a complete field around her and whenever something hit it, it gave the butterfly visual, but I guess it could also have been she has great reflexes and read their minds and created a shield in butterfly shape as well.

Either way, I found it a nice change from just using a shield all the time lol.

Looking forward to this week's issue.
