I was apprehensive about the use of magic already but @Randybear said it was a fun issue and I think we are pretty close to having similar likes and dislikes, that I think I'll enjoy the issue :)
The Otherworld magic Betsy's shackled to is weaker than an African magic drum. Explains the massive fall of Captain Kettle. Betsy needs no magic in her life her powers are enough.
It definitely wasn't bad. A little mention is fine.
I just don't want Betsy to suddenly become this character focused on magic, as I just don't see that being who she is even if its in her family history.
I see a lot pushing for that with Storm as well, but I feel the same way.
Its just not them imho.
I read the issue, it was good.
Not much Betsy but Thorne did say each character would get their time to shine and this was definitely Sage's turn.
I do remember him saying he wanted to see people's reaction to his version of the Butterfly, so I suspect that's why we haven't seen much yet.
I kinda liked the one in first issue better, but any Butterfly with Betsy is welcome lol.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

It's barely used, and it's more of a "this thing that comes with the CB mantle gives me this knwoledge". They don't have her actively using magic
Awesome thanks. Hope I can get it this weekend :)

That kinda how I feel @Kiki lol.
GT's "answer" is that, in this case, wizard-magic cannot defeat God-magic

I love how GT gives us these notes to chew on.
