Not sure what is up with Betsy's face. I'm assuming it's intentional though.

By "her husband Cyclops", is the legend referring to Betsy or to Moira?

Whoever it is, does that mean that these X-Men aren't the "real" X-Men (for instance, that this Betsy isn't the real, canon one)? If so, it's a pity - but hey, she's wearing what's possibly the best uniform she's ever had and using the psychic knives, so it'll be amazing to see her even if she's not the "real" Betsy! Plus, her hair is surprisingly with the correct color!

(as for her face, this art looks more "cartoony" to me - I mean, Cyclops looks like he came out straight from a 1990s superhero animated series -, so I think her exaggerated facial expression fits with the art style)

Bummer it's not 616 Betsy, but alas, she was more entertaining in two pages than the last five years. And yes, this Betsy is married to Cyclops.

The art isn't terrible its just the way Baldeon draws faces is so jarring. I dunno why he makes everyone look like they're having a stroke.

I really thought it would be a version of Betsy from the past, rather than an alternate reality, since most of the alternate versions of her became Captain Britain! But it's still cool to see the character with this outfit, the name Psylocke and the psychic knives, even if she's not our Betsy from the past!

Well I guess her alternate versions taste is similar in alternate realities to our Betsy. Considering she was with Warren in the other alternate reality and now Scott in this one lol.

Honestly I blame Marcus To his design sketch of Betsy as CB has her hair pink.. it's darker here cause Asrars design sketch has her hair a dark solid purple

I had a feeling that this Betsy would be one from one Moira's prior lives when the mission statement of the Dead X-Men was revealed. I don't mind the art cause that's just his style.

On a side note, I was happy to see Sway & Banshee get used in any capacity. Banshee's been a missed opportunity for years since his first resurrection.

I always felt Sway & the rest of Moira's students were such a missed opportunity in the Krakoa era. Especially when you consider what Hickman & co did with Moira.

I know a lot of fans were upset about how Moira has changed but I prefer her as a villain. I think she is way more interesting now than ever before. How do you all feel about her change? I also dug the way Hickman made us believe her being burned alive by Destiny, Mystique, and Pyro changed her from being a self-loathing mutant hater only for us to learn much later that it only strengthened her self-hate. The Moira as mutant retcon is my favorite part of Hickman’s whole run.

Also, did you read thay Beau DeMayo was removed from X-Men ‘97 by Disney? I really hope that at some point we get a modern (vs. 90s art) animated version in the vein of What If….

And I absolutely love this Dead X-Men Team! Let’s hope they get aome more story when the relaunch happens (along with Dr. Reyes)!

I didn't mind the Moira is a mutant retcon cause how Hickman scripted it. That 616 rebooted each time she died. What I hate is that Hickman was "removed", or however Marvel wanted to call it & that the last 2 years of Krakoa have failed to live up to the potential it had.

The DeMayo stuff was a damn mess. I was psyched that a bipoc person was going to be showrunner for the first time in X history. Then he showed his ass multiple times (figuratively, don't care about his OF. We all gotta pay bills). Each time I checked X twitter he seemed to be fighting with multiple fans & could just seem vile at times.
