I must agree with Gambit here; Kitty may just be trying to lighten the mood, but making jokes seems very inappropriate in this situation. And gosh, why is she still with the generic X-student uniform? Get your Red King clothes already!
Speaking of clothes, wasn't Rogue dressed when she was attacked by the leaves? How did she suddenly get naked?
And still on the clothes subject, Betsy's new Captain Britain armor never ceases to amaze me... she looks great!
Can anyone tell me what happened to the lighthouse? Kate mentions they destroyed it at some point. I'm guessing at some point in the 90s?
Also FSaker Kate is mostly being jokey here Betsy sounds stoic and bland af here.
And am I missing something here? Why are they traveling by boat? Why didnt they just use a jet to fly to the old lighthouse location? Was this just an excuse to have Kate cameo and further connect the titles? Seems lazy.

Rogue changed in a flower garden after sapping Krakoa. Her clothes changed to flowers I guess.

@randybear Kitty shows up for the nostalgia cameo. She was on the first team and they kill two birds with one stone to promote Marauders. I want Nightcrawler to join after the chemistry he had with Betsy.
Didn't Meggan do it for Merlin. She destroyed the Braddock lighthouse once or twice. Or was it the robot people from the dimensions?
Regarding them traveling by boat, I suppose the X-Men have a limited number of jets. Scott, Rachel and Kid Cable are using one, the X-Force is using another and I think the New Mutants are using another; Betsy's team probably just didn't have any jet available.
And yes, it's also a way to reinforce that all the X-books are connected. I'm surprised no one in this preview mentioned Xavier's death (then again, HoX & PoX pretty much established death means little to the X-Men now, so Hope & Goldballs may have already brought him back to life by then).
But for real, Kitty, get a new uniform. Even Jubilee is dressing like an adult now.

Thank you so much! There's so much room for improvement, and my style is very mangaish, but I wanted to share it with you guys ^^
Kitty can't dress well and she comes first in top 10s about the worst dressed X-Men. I'm not ticked off the new books are connected. To each their own. Hickman said the main titles like X-Men, Excalibur and X-Force determine the future of the mutants.
The Excalibur lighthouse was destroyed first by Rachel Summers, second by Gatecrasher and third by Meggan Puceanu. Meggan destroyed it to cut off Merlyn and his spells that controlled the team. The Excalibur lighthouse is a constant nexus to all Excalibur dimensions.
I don't like how Kitty is being written lately. She has always been sarcastic, but her joking in every book is getting on my nerves. Tough getting used to Apocalypse not trying to kill them all...I still think he is planning something terrible for them all. I hope Tini Howard isn't trying to pull an "Angel" with Rogue. On the show Angel, there was a character who basically became possessed by an ancient demon God (Ilyria). I hope that Rogue wakes up as herself and not a new personality.
Iceman was the freezing droll of the X-Men not anymore as it looks. Kitty was paired with Bobby due to their awful taste in jokes and another more practical reason. It is admissible to have her in one issue for old times sake.
I thought Betsy can fly after putting on the Amulet of Right. The amulet is capable of flight because Merlyn fused it with the Star Scepter into the upgraded Captain Britain suit. The Star Scepter allowed Brian to fly in his first appearance. Of course Betsy is a powerful telekinetic and can fly on her own mutant powers, I hope she still can.
Rogue's power of absorption is unpredictable and we don't know how it fares with alien and magical beings. The coma she fell into is the reaction of her system adapting to the power and the changes it causes to her physiology.
Props to the eagle-eyed. The Ilyria and the Old Ones reference points to the Lovecraftian influences for the Otherworld. This explains why Apocalypse is so interested in the Otherworld and shifted back to magic practices abandoning the Celestial technology the Celestials granted him for being the fittest human specimen of the ancient times. Ancient Egypt was the portal to one of the Old Ones and the biggest gates are located on the British Isles and the Bermuda Triangle.
We will see how Rogue copes with her transformation and what kind of energy entered her body. Apocalypse uses machinations and I don't consider him a member of the team more like the mastermind moving the pieces on the checkerboard.
It's the first time people remember the ''robot people'' who are called the Technet and are far from robots. Gatecrasher was their leader before they split into two groups. I expect them to show up later in the run because there are issues between the Excalibur and them to be settled.
