Uncanny X-Men #1 Spoilers

Spoilers: Jean Grey has a vision of the future where Multiple Man is desperately in search of Kitty Pryde, and an army of Madrox dupes is fighting the X-Men. Jean snaps out of the precognition and learns that Kitty took some students on a mission. At the Kalahari Desert in Botswana, Storm and Beast investigate an unnatural rain that even Ororo cannot stop. Elsewhere, Aboard the Blackbird, Kitty’s phasing powers somehow are out of her control. She vanishes from the aircraft, leaving Armor, Anole, Pixie, Rockslide, Oya, Glob by themselves while the Blackbird crashes on a pharmaceutical lab. The kids manage to escape the aircraft and face the Mutant Liberation Front, who wanted to attack the lab for making a vaccine that would stop the X-Gene from manifesting in children. The students are badly injured and Nightcrawler, Polaris and X-23 come to their rescue, easily defeating the villains. The students head back to the Xavier Institute where Beast tends to their wounds. Meanwhile in the City Hall, Manhattan, Senator Ashton Allen gives a press conference to introduce the mutant-suppressing vaccine, while some X-Men are in attendance in pairs: Jean Grey and Iceman, Cannonball and Northstar, Psylocke and Archangel, and Bishop and Jubilee. Kitty Pryde was supposed to speak at the press conference, but she’s still missing. Multiple Man interrupts the press conference and starts talking in riddles. Suddenly, hundreds of his dupes appear causing a commotion. Jean Grey orders the X-Men to shut them down. The dupes want to reach the Senator, whom Jean tries to protect. Meanwhile, Warren seems to be in a trance as if he is receiving orders from someone else and abandons Psylocke by herself. Betsy’s telepathy doesn’t work on Madrox dupes, so she manifests her new telekinetic weapons: a medieval longsword and shield and goes into battle, fighting the dupes like a knight. When Jean reaches the Senator, he’s somehow teleported away. All the Multiple Men disappear at the same time. Elsewhere, both the Senator and Kitty Pryde have been captured by someone. But they’re not alone. Apocalypse has been captured as well.

Note: Psylocke's powerset is seemingly unchanged as she displays telepahy, telekinetic psychic weapons and engages in physical fighting.

I this issue out yet? Cant wait to grab it. Not sure why they gave Jean the premonition, when it's technically one of Betsy's abilities but I'll get over it lol.

X-Man, yeah, the issue released today. It's already up on Comixology etc before comic shops open.

I enjoyed the issue it was fun and all the characterization was on point. The art was super consistent but I wish there was more Psylocke in the issue but I really liked her moments.

The script was included in the digital version and Psylocke was described as a "knight" with armor during her fight scene and her sword was described as "neon pink Excalibur" LIT

Judging from the description of the plot, this looks like a promising beginning for the UXM relaunch. I wish Dust could be among the X-Students, but her absence isn't really a flaw.

But... wasn't Multiple Man dead due to the Terrigen Cloud? And by "Multiple Man", I don't mean one of his dupes, but the original Jamie Madrox? I wonder if he was resurrected or had his death retconned in an issue I didn't read, if his reappearance will be explained in this arc, or if the writers just forgot he was supposed to be dead (again, the REAL Madrox, not one of his dupes like in the 1990s X-Factor debut).

As for Psylocke, her powers and abilities seem in character (yes, Jean got her precognition - but let's face it, it's been DECADES since Betsy even used it and Jean is supposed to be the psychic Deus ex machina anyway), and she looks great in the art of the pages posted in this blog. So far, it seems her recent body swap is being conducted just right.

Yes FSaker, we know you mean the prime Maddox or as you refer to him as "the REAL one" he's been resurrected for some time now (yes, the REAL one) and has even had a mini series that just concluded.

Freaking Awesome, great artwork by Asar, and well done with Psylocke Ability. The new writer is doing a very classic work with mostly a female team. Really appreciate what they did at the end. This type Apocalypse was not your typical villain again.
