X-Men #26 Spoilers

Spoilers: Rachel, Pylocke and Monet manage to reach the surface, where they reunite with Storm. The rock monster wakes up and heads to the emergency response center. Gambit stops it from injuring the civilians nearby. Rachel tries to reason with the rock monster telepathically, but fails. Jubilee arrives aboard the X-jet in time to catch Rachel from falling. Psylocke uses her telekinesis to bring the X-jet to the ground safely. While Rachel links herself with the rock giant’s consciousness, Monet goes through it and Storm summons lightning to destroy it once and for all. Jubilee brings one piece of rock back to the school. Back at the school, Beast deduces Krakoa was sick because it was created in the same manner as the rock giant. Storm tells Jubilee she saw Wolverine down the caves and hugs her. Afterwards, Jubilee brings the piece of rock to Krakoa as a gift – an imprint of memory, life after death.

*This is the last issue featuring Earth 616 Psylocke for the time being.

Such a depressing statement.

What a crappy last storyline involving Psylocke. She immediately fell injured and then last second gave her a small thankless moment when saving Jubes in the jet lol

Nobody gave a crap she was half dead and couldn't even stand whilst still doing her best to help out.

I can't help but feel that last line of "Psylocke needs more antibiotics" was left in for the CBR fanboys to take it way out of context like... "Oh haha Psylocke is such a slut Beast had to give her antibiotics! She probably had sex with the rock monster!"

I didn't care for this arc at all. Thank God she's off writing Psylocke.

Last issue featuring 616 Elizabeth??? Is this the last issue of this X-Men volume?

I hate the art, by the way. I have not liked the art at all since Coipel ended his run. Save for the space arc with Dr. Reyes and Deathbird.

Yes, it's the final issue. No word if it's rebooting post-Secret Wars.

Wow. That was an anticlimactic end.

To be honest, I didn't read this issue (or this arc), so I cannot comment on it. But from the spoilers from each issue, weren't Psylocke, Rachel and Monet spending all the arc trying to rescue Storm? It feels kinda pointless since Storm escaped by herself in the end. Also, the big mystery behind the threat was just a rock giant created by some sort of detonation?

On the plus side, the scene with the X-Women hugging each other was beautiful, and it's nice that Gambit helped the X-Women (I mean, after ANXF was cancelled, he was completely forgotten, just like Polaris and the others).

Nevertheless, yes, it's sad that after this issue, 616-Betsy will be absent for a long time. Sure, she may get a cameo in the Secret Wars main miniseries (though I doubt that), or in Bendis's final UXM issue (she's in the cover, after all) - but even if she does, it will probably be just for a panel or two, with no importance to the story. Hopefully things will be better for her after Secret Wars is over.

we all know once they feature in the movie (if it's a big enough role) they get a big role in the comic u - let's hope the same for psylocke after secret wars/battleworld fiasco

I'm not sure if that logic applies to X-Men characters, though. Marvel (or, more likely, Disney) seems to be doing a big effort to distance their comic books from FOX's films - Wolverine's and Deadpool's recent deaths show that, especially considering how Deadpool will have his own movie coming very soon.

Hopefully they won't kill Betsy as well. She has died enough times in comic books already.

616 Psylocke may be gone for now But we'll get Psylocke in Bar Sinister, and Inferno It'll be white non ninja Psylocke though.I'm okay with it.

Has it been confirmed that Psylocke will appear in Bar Sinister?

In Inferno, I think she'll only have a brief appearance in the first issue and that's it. There will also be a Psylocke in Marville (a cute kid version of her, in the battle between the A-Babies and the X-Babies), but it's still uncertain if she'll have a big appearance there. Probably not, but at least it seems like this tie-in will be funny.
