Uncanny X-Force #3 Spoilers

Spoilers: Then – Betsy was only a 16 year-old when she moved to NY to be a model and her psychic powers emerged for the first time. She couldn’t shut out thoughts and didn’t leave her apartment for a month.

Now – Bishop kidnapped the girl, Ginny, and ran off. Puck says their mission is accomplished as they have captured Spiral, but Storm wants to bring the girl back. It’s revealed that Mojo removed Spiral’s ability to travel between dimensions, so she was trapped on Earth-616 without anywhere to go, until she found Ginny and started to use her psychic powers to make money by selling drugs, which were false. It was actually Ginny’s powers that put people in a trance. Betsy says she can follow Ginny’s psychic avatar and orders Spiral to teleport them. Meanwhile, Fantomex and Cluster hijack an airplane. Dark Fantomex is following them, without them knowing. Back to X-Force, Spiral teleports them to a subway tunnel in LA. Betsy can’t pick up any psychic signature, including that of her teammates. That’s when Bishop surprises them and attacks X-Force. While they fight, Spiral grabs the girl and teleports to safety. Betsy uses her psychic knife on Bishop and enters his mind. There, she finds his psyche tangled like a maze. As she finds the Demon Bear, she realizes it was a trap.

Ultimate Comics X-Men #24 Spoilers & Art

Spoilers: Now -- Utopia falls apart. Kitty, Storm, Rogue, Blackheat, James Hudson are cornered by the police and the military.

Two weeks earlier -- The sentient seed has turned Utopia’s infertile soil into a tropical forest. Magma has raised the earth, providing a natural border defense and microclimates. Storm is now able to command the weather. The wildlife also has returned. New mutants have been coming to live at Utopia as well. Kitty suspects Mach Two and her followers are still inside Utopia, but nobody is able to track them. Her suspicious proves to be right as Warpath and Psylocke are only a few miles away. Betsy reveals she’s using her powers to prevent James from tracking them. Warpath is impressed and thinks she should be in charge. Psylocke acts shady and says she’d rather have the target on Mach Two’s back, as it leaves her free to infiltrate the base of soldiers near Utopia’s borders. Meanwhile, Farbird is running an aerial recon of Utopia on behalf of Karen Grant, but can’t spot anything due to the trees. Karen decides to visit Utopia by herself and wants to be addressed as Jean Grey again. Elsewhere, the American Government decides to attack mutants politically, claiming that they are property of the US. James meets with Warpath to discuss some kind of proposal.

Uncanny X-Force #3 Advanced Preview

Brian Wood on Psylocke

Wood: "It's not off and doing its own thing (like my 'X-Men' was last year)," "Taking one as an example, Psylocke is up to a lot over on 'Uncanny X-Force,' obviously, and it's going to clash with what she's doing here. She's going to struggle to keep it separate, since her role or mandate here is different. But that just makes for great stories, great character moments. One of the best things, I feel, about my previous run on 'X-Men' was how the characters were pulled in different directions, they had to make choices and pick sides and reconcile loyalties. It'll keep things interesting, and will give readers a more complex character."

Coipel Previews X-Men Art & Humphries Talks "Uncanny X-Force"

Upcoming "X-Men" artist, Olivier Coipel, has teased his Facebook followers with a little glimpse of Psylocke in the new book. Thanks Rogue from our comments section for the heads up!

Meanhwile, Sam Humphries took part at Emerald City Comic Con's Marvel - The Next Big Thing panel. In regards to Uncanny X-Force, Humphries revealed the book will move into an arc featuring a showdown between the team and Bishop in the subway tunnels of Los Angeles, and then will look at Bishop's time in the future.

"After that will be Fantomex, Fantomex, Fantomex," Humphries said. "We'll have all three Fantomexs together. We're going to see Betsy -- we're going to see what happens, why the Betsy and Fantomex relationship ends so poorly. After that, we're going to have a big major villain enter the books that will be familiar to long time readers of X-Men."
