CBR: In March, you kick off a new arc titled "Natural Resources." What exactly is it about?
Brian Wood: The mutants are privatized by the government. Literally, they are declared a resource and property and are denied their human rights. An attempt is made to round them up and, presumably, create things like the sentient seed as a government program. Very similar to the way a government may privatize an oil company. They figure, we made mutants, so we own them. The US needs to rebuild itself, and fast, following "Divided We Fall." They need to regain their world superpower status. That's about all I can tease up-front. We'll also see some progress on the Mach Two storyline, and some answers to the questions readers have about Psylocke.

Is Captain America still the president of the United States in the Ultimate line? If so, he's a real jerk for doing this with mutants and deserves a bullet thrown by Quicksilver to his forehead (like Pietro did to Cyclops).
Anyway, I'm curious to find out what's up with Ultimate Psylocke. Is she someone else posing as Psylocke (it can't be Kwannon, since Ultimate Kwannon is already dead)? Is she being controlled by someone else? Is she pretending to agree with Mach Two to investigate her true intentions? Or maybe the experience of feeling her body dying and having to transfer her mind to another body again was really traumatic to her and now she's mad at the (now former) X-Men for leaving her alone in Ultimatum...
Whatever it is, I guess Ultimate Betsy won't have a happy ending in this...
