Uncanny X-Men #8 Spoilers

Spoilers: Despite Nate Grey disappearing before the X-Men, his Horsemen of Salvation continue to be under his influence. Bishop, Jean Grey and Psylocke come across an unconscious Legion and wonder where Nate and the kids might have gone to. With Nate gone, Kitty frees herself and explains that she has been kept captive along with Apocalypse and Senator Allen. Apocalypse assures the X-Men they all have bigger problems at the moment. Jean and Betsy manage to break into Legion’s mind and find out David has trapped the kids and Nate Grey into a hellish version of the Age of Apocalypse inside his head. Bishop wants to rescue the kids immediately, but Kitty thinks they should let the students buy them some more time to figure out how to solve this problem. Apocalypse suggests killing Legion to end X-Man once and for all, including sacrificing the kids in the process. The X-Men stop En Sabah Nur just in time. While Jean contains Apocalypse, Bishop asks Psylocke to put him inside Legion’s head. Betsy does so with her psychic sword, and Bishop finds himself in the mental Age of Apocalypse. Bishop prevents Armor from killing Nate Grey just in time. Nate realizes the Age of Apocalypse isn’t real and faces Legion, using David’s own mind against himself. Bishop, Pixie, Armor, Glob and Rockslide are brought back to the physical world. The X-Men, the students and Apocalypse are taken aback when a merged Legion/Nate Grey appear before them. Back at the Xavier Institute, Beast confronts Anole about stealing the vaccine.

Yet another combiner? What are we reading? The Transformers?? I was hoping that we'd seen enough of this theme with Onslaught, Cyke/Pox, Psylocke/X, Proteus/Shadow King. Wash, rinse, repeat. LOL.

Wow... really, Kitty? Someone keep this woman far away from the X-Students.

As for Nate and Legion becoming a single entity, well, I understand that the result is a huge menace (I mean, Nate's über-telepathy plus Legion's reality-altering powers), but it still seems like a bad creative idea.

But I guess now we know how Age of X-Man will come to be.
