No one bothers to get Psylocke's costume right lol Sad, you'd think artists would naturally spend more attention to detail.

Same for the color scheme.. the two color thing is yuck..

We were supposed to get Bachalo, and now we have this shit instead. Sad.

It's Psylocke and Captain Britain's birthday! Born in the early hours of 4/23/56 if I recall.

This is quite a cool team. Basically, Wood's first (and most iconic) X-Women team, with Domino replacing Rachel (and increasing the variety of superpowers in the team). I used to dislike Domino, but her time in Gischler's and Wood's X-Men team and later in Spurrier's X-Force made me appreciate her a little more.

I'm very interested in this miniseries, and a little curious to find out if it will have direct connections to the other Hunt for Wolverine miniseries (which I don't intend to read).

As for this panel, it looks okay. I need to see at least one full page before I can decide if I like this art or not.

Luna,
I know! I was looking forward to seeing Bachalo draw Psylocke again.. I wish they had picked a better replacement. I've never been a fan of Silas style at all. I didn't like his work in XMen Blue.

Something about this reminds me John Bogdanov's work which I loathed during the X-Tinction Agenda. In fact, I recall during the crossover, I dreaded every issue of X-Factor and The New Mutants (Rob Liefield), and only look forward to Uncanny. Today, I am no longer a fan of Jim Lee's art either.

I'm more concerned about the actual story then the artist. I find a lot of fans complain incessantly about artist now days (If I hear another rant about Greg Land I'll screech). I buy comics every week and never has an artist, art been so repulsive that I could not finish the comic. That is a different story with the writers though.

Well, when Fraction and Land had their co-run on Uncanny, I usually had more trouble finishing due to the former over the latter!

I want Olivier Coipel to draw the X-Men again. Or Marc Silvestri. Or Alan Davis. Or David Lopez. They are some of the few good artists that I feel actually capture these characters well.

I agree Rahsaan! I love those artists drawing X-Men and they snatched Coipel off of Wood's X-men book too soon. Im not that bothered by the art here though. I just hope the story is good. Anyone know what book Wolverine actually returned in or is that what this whole story is going to reveal?

Rahsaan said...

MellyMel, yes! Coipel should have been the mainstay artist on that all women run! His art was easily some of the best during the whole dud that was AvX!

As for what the Wolvie story will reveal, Marvel has been tight-lipped. I honestly am not excited at all about any of it.

Unrelated questions:

1. Has Jean had any panel time with “her children,” Rachel, Nathan and Nate since resurrecting?

2. Where is Hope Summers? I would think she and Wanda Maximoff would have been prominent in the Jean resurrection story since they had previously “erased” the Phoenix. All of this just makes me hope the firebird stays gone forevermore.

3. Where is Madelyne Pryor? With all this Jean/Phoenix stuff going on, I would think that she who was actually an integral piece of this complicated mess would be featured. She would not exist if not for the Force.

A lot of dropped plot lines. Just reinforces that Marvel is always doing way too much.

@Rahsaan Chisolm

I'll try my best to answer your questions

1. Jean has had no interaction with any of her children yet. Honestly she hasn't interacted with any of the other x-teams and its almost like she never came back.

2. Hope can be currently found in Cables comics where she has taken residence at the new x-mansion/jean grey school at central park. She did play a minor role in the return of Jean Grey in Teen Jeans now cancelled comics.

3. I haven't seen Madelyne Pryor since she was revived by Arkea and since then we've had two story arc focused on Maddie (All-New-X-Men & X-Men Blue) but its not the Earth-616, Maddie. Its some lame alternate reality one that survived the secret war/battle world event (Earth-91240). She calls herself Goblin Queen and has made it clear that she not from 616 world and shares a different history with the X-Men.I'm so pissed that they've done nothing with Selene (Black Queen) and Madelyne Pryor since they were revived and when is Threnody going to show up?

Anonymous, thank you. You know that editorial probably doesn’t recall that Madelyne and Selene are alive again.

You mean current Jim Lee art right ? Because X-Tinction Agenda Uncanny X-Men 90's PRE-Wildcats era Jim Lee was AMAZING
