Matthew Rosenberg Talks Psylocke

Ever since the new ‘Astonishing X-Men’ lineup was announced, fans took to Twitter to ask creators about the characters left without a book such as Psylocke, Bishop and Archangel. Yesterday, Charles Soule confirmed there were plans for Psylocke.

Now Matthew Rosenberg has confirmed that Psylocke is not part of the new ‘Astonishing’ going forward. He suggested she will be busy elsewhere: “I love Betsy, but I think she has other places to be.”

Rosenberg also talked about Bishop: “He will be around. Just not Astonishing.”

I would like to see Psylocke representing the british in the Red team, as it is showing the politics around mutantkind, Betsy could fulfill a role as a sort of an european ambassador. It would give her chances to make a lot of difference in important decisions!

True. However, I’d be surprised if Elizabeth and Jean were cast on the same team for an extended run due to their similar powersets.

True indeed!! It would make room for nice plots for both 'cause of the politics involved, but it would take a very good writer to develop them wisely enough not to let it fall in redundancy!
It's somewhat weird that the other teams don't seem to even know that Jean is back...the consequences of what is happenning in the Red team seems pretty relevant to mutantkind. Possibly the book is gonna converge to that yet.

I know. Do Rachel, Nathaniel and Nate even know that their mom has arisen? Where is Nate Grey these days anyway?

I hope she turns up in a good book with a good artist.

Well, Psylocke and Rachel were on the same team more than once, and it worked just fine.

Then again, it's sad to see her leaving the Astonishing book; despite the story dragging on for the past issues, it's still by far the best current X-Book (although that's not exactly difficult with X-Men Blue being messy and confusing, X-Men Gold being awful and X-Men Red's quality dropping substantially after its first issue)...

True. The first time they were together, Locke was only telekinetic. I forgot about the all women X-Men lineup when they were both telepathic/telekinetic.

I am really worried because this phase of stories is horrible. I can't read blue, red and even think in that gold give me sleep.
I miss the quality in X-books. Betsy need a team like X-Force or little stories that are out of the spotlight.
