Uncanny X-Force #8 Preview

Uncanny X-Force #8
Writer: Sam Humphries
Art by: Dalibor Talajic, Adrian Alphona
Cover by: Kris Anka

The Story:
• The Fantomex Love Pentagram explodes!
• With the truth about their sordid past fully revealed, can Fantomex, Psylocke, and Cluster look each other in the eye?
• Every psychic ninja needs a vicious animal with no impulse control and a short temper to back her up...right?
• Puck! Man, does that guy love jerky. Especially buffalo and bison jerky, dipped in Canadian whiskey.
• Plus: a terrifying surprise villain from the X-past is definitely playing chess, not checkers, across Los Angeles.

I think it's an interesting paradigm to have Demon Bear in a semi-symbiotic relationship with Betsy. It kind of mirrors E.V.A./Fantomex.

I agree. It's a pretty interesting idea. I want to see more of Psylocke with Demon Bear.

Do you think we'll see Psylocke in an X-Force movie? There are all these articles popping up about the rumor that an X-Force movie may follow. If so, I'm wondering which characters they're going to use. Please include Betsy (and cast her right!)

@Australian Outback - I sure hope so. They hired the guy who did Kickass 2 to write the screen play. That hopefully means they're not shying away from the fact that X-force is meant to be grittier, more ethically flexible and more violent by design.

Now that it's official, it sure sounds like Cable and Deadpool have the greatest potential to be in it. That makes me think Domino also has a high chance of being in it. I do think they should have Psylocke in it. Her look and her power set and character concept would translate really well on screen. A hot psychic Asian ninja? Yes please. If they do, they need to cast someone with a certain intelligent, brooding mystique about her, in addition to being drop dead gorgeous and physically fit.

Except no hoochies! Keep Betsy classy, please. :)

The conecction with the demon bear is really interesting, but it also has two faces: it may corrupt Betsy and at the same time, he can empower her too being by her side on her mind. When the revenants stuff comes out it will be further intesresting to see where this will lead.

I assume from the chess comment that the mystery villain is a member of the Hellfire Club? I know it won't happen, but I hope it's Selene!
