X-Men by David Lopez

I'm usually a fan of Lopez's art, but I don't think his style fits a book like X-Men. The bandana on Pixie looks pretty stupid and Domino just looks like an annoying idiot. Don't mind Storm's new look though! Psylocke doesn't look too bad though, thankfully!

I think David Lopez meant for Neena to look flirty and insolent, but alas, CmX is correct. She looks like a jackass.

Storm looks fierce and awesome... calling back to her pre-Utopia days as a leader and not Scott's lapdog. Everyone looks great (excluding Pixie who I try to ignore always and Domino with her stupid expression). I've resolved myself to just stop wanting anything aside from the Hand uniform for Elizabeth. All save for Rick Remender seem hellbent on keeping it. Now it even comes in purple. Sigh.

Sidebar: Can someone explain to me why Piotr has been bald since becoming the Juggernaut replacement? Didn't read that story.

Also, kinda bummed that James is off the team. i understand, his super-strength may be redundant with Piotr around, but i'm afraid he'll be left on the sidelines again.

It was never explained lol He just became Juggernaut and since then he's been bald and permanently in his steel form. Nobody has even mentioned it in story.

Losing Jubilee and Warpath for Pixie is a really crappy exchange.

Why does everyone hate Pixie? I've never actually seen much of her other than her "frenemy"-status with Illyana which I found somewhat amusing, is she really a terrible character?

Berri,

I think people see Pixie as akin to Scrappy-Doo and Dawn "The Key" Summers. Oddly enough, I never minde the latter two. I think my frustration with Pixie is that legacy characters, like Dazzler (would've also said Northstar and Cecilia Reyes, but got my wish and they're on a team now... and together at that!) get shafted while she's up front and center.

Speaking of Daz, what book is her Street Team featured in? Isn't boo-Boom on that team too? Do they actually do anything of merit?

Pixie's only in the book because the writer's daughter likes fairies (really). Out of the new x-men kids I wouldn't chose her. Also a certain fan on CBR has turn me off her forever.

Totally, trey. A better character would be Prodigy. Despite loosing his power, he's a wealth of info. What better person to be on Storm's stealth team?

I liked several of the New X-Men kids. I really like Dust, Elixir, Mercury, Rockslide, and Anole. I do think the fact that Pixie has gotten so much exposure while, in my humble opinion, she's the silliest of them all adds to my dislike. She has to use magic so that she's not essentially useless.

So I picked up Pixie Strikes Back on a whim to see what the fuss is about (and because it included Psylocke); I can honestly say I'm not impressed but it's still not enough to hate like some -other- characters. I'll see how she's handled when Wood has a turn at her as I'm not gonna buy any comics without Psylocke, especially to see if I'll hate a character or not.

@treysome - I recently joined CBR's forum and I think I know whom you're talking about. This infamous person finds every reason to bash our beloved Betsy and shove that boring Pixie down our throats, am I correct?

@Blu Berri yup I usually can tolerate most people on CBR but there are 3 posters I can't stand there, pixie fan is one of them
