Holy hell! One of the best Betsy issues EVER. Congratulations, mr. Thorne.

It's crazy how in just seven issues Thorne has given us OG pink look, Outback armor, psychic knives, butterfly, sassy Betsy etc and TH simply refused 🤣 I felt gaslit for years when people wanted to tell me TH Betsy was perfectly fine and I was a hater

EXCELLENT ISSUE (except for some of La Diabla's Spanish I must say).
Thorne really gets Betsy, in a way we haven't seen in years (except for Foxe, but that was short lived). And from the response to fan mail, he gets us, which is arguably as important

Did you notice how all those self-proclaimed "biggest Betsy fans," who swore she was at her best back then, suddenly vanished from the face of the Earth and stopped caring about her as soon as *that woman* was out of the picture? So predictable.

Gosh, this was sooo amazing!!!
Such a long time we hadn't seen Betsy so back to herself!!

Betsy is like 66, and Rachel is like 20 something mentally. Their relationship is super cringey. If she's to be with another woman, at least make it Allison Double. But Betsy claiming the Outback as her special place makes me happy.

Brian Braddock is the same age as Peter Parker, they were college roommates. Betsy & Brian are twins so… no, Betsy is not in her 60s 💀

Floating timeline.
I'd put the og X-Men, All new/different & the 80's/Outback adults at a least early to mid 30's now. I'd go late 30's/early 40's, but Marvel would never. I don't have my tpb anymore of when Rachel ended up in 616 but she was referred to being legal but late teens. Now I'd put her early to mid 20's at most. Especially given how she dips in & out of time.

This romance is so lame...

I think Taz was being facetiously hyperbolic about the ages he stated to highlight the maturity gap that he sees between the characters. (Taz, correct me if you actually do think that they are the ages you stated.)

I agree with Lex that most of the X-Men are probobaly in their mid to late 30s based on Marvel time, but some of them are canonically younger, like Kitty, Jubilation, Anna Marie, and Rachel. Kitty, Jubilee, and all the original New Mutants/original X-Terminators/original X-Force would probably be in their late 20s by now. Anna Marie and Rachel were written to be slightly younger than the other X-Men, but older than Kitty, so I would put them in their early 30s.

I can't wait to read this issue. I finally can grab it tomorrow.

I would also encourage everyone that enjoyed Betsy like this to write to the X-Office.

I been writing for awhile with no results, but I was informed by my online friend, that one of my letters to them finally got posted in this issue
(which makes this issue even more exciting for me lol).

So being patient and persistent can pay off lol.

It was cool seeing those letters about Betsy being published. We can all ask for solo title but let's buy it this time okay? 😅

But let's keep asking for the butterfly and pet them know she is the rightful owner.

They need to be reminded that Kwannon is Psylocke in name only and lacks charisma unlike Betsy
