I gotta say this design keeps growing on me. The castles in the back are cool and I like the X on the handle of her sword

The slimmer the design gets the better I like it.

Now get rid of the flowers and maybe this will go from Psylor Moon tween to something an actual grown woman in her thirties might be seen in public in.

Glad y’all finally realized that Elizabeth always looks fantastic in armor.

Oh please sailor moon doesnt wear flowers in her hair. This is more She Ra than anything else.

FSaker said...

Yeah, her new look is closer to She-Ra than Sailor Moon. Which is curious, as both She-Ra and Betsy have a twin brother (and also have a mother from a different world).

Anyway, according to some spoilers I read from PoX #6, it seems Betsy didn't appear in this event at all... *sigh*

Hickman, you'd better show her in at least one issue of the new X-Men book!

FSaker it's not a big deal Psylocke didnt appear in this mini. It's not about character beats this was status quo shift and world building mini. If anything it only focused on Xavier and Moira with a lesser extent Magneto and a couple others. Both minis were very enjoyable even without a cameo of Betsy standing in the background like all the other mutants that appeared.

Love this. Really enjoy this suit the most when artists don't overdo it with the size of the cape. Anka has probably done my least favorite version of this look so far because he made the cape massive. It overtook her entire body.

Even though he’s an amazing artist. Unfortunately this makes me miss Asian Psylocke. I love Betsy but it’s made me realise even as a gay man I’m more visual based. I want a ninja in uncomfortable latex strips.... god / psychologist help me...

What is your issue? That version remains intact from the powers to the costume to the butterfly to the psychic knife to the codename. What exactly are you upset about?

this looks amazing! Marcus is perfect artist for me

The upside of all this is that we all seem to have collectively decided that Age of X-Man didn't exist!

Yay!

@randybear, don't pay attention to people who exist to create drama. It is sensible to want iconography based on your preferences and sick to take pleasure from somebody's suffering. BettyBoo wants Betsy trapped in a foreign body without taking her feelings into consideration. The good part is that he/she/they is self-aware.

In the meantime, let us enjoy the Betsy art that keeps dropping and Marcus To who is a talented artist.

Betsy is fearless Captain Britain! She too was awesome as Psylocke!

Anyone see the new Land cover for Fallen Angels? Not only does Kwannon display the butterfly but the background image has more butterfly imagery.

If you guys are still in denial about Betsy losing the butterfly itll be too late to do anything about it since it looks like the change is cemented and a done deal. Also looks like some dragon imagery on the cover. They should have given Kwannon a dragon motif not Betsy's butterfly. Whatever Kwannon is a straight up clone.

ITA. The butterfly is Betsy's personal psychic expression. Consistent with both bodies because it is hers (or was). Kwannon needs her own identity. Sigh.

Where did you see the new cover?

Benjamin Hutton said...

Found it (eventually). His other variant covers are of older versions of characters.

I assume this is meant to be from a time when Betsy was in the body, so can't draw any conclusions based on this Land variant cover.

Hmmm I didn't think of that. Of course it's so hard to tell because Kwannon is seemingly wearing the same old uniform now that Betsy had on then lol. I hope your theory is correct.

Ben that's Kwannon not Betsy. Why would they draw Betsy on the Fallen Angels covers makes no sense.

Benjamin Hutton said...

Did you read what I wrote?

It's a variant cover. All the other Land variant covers are of past representations of the characters. For example, Emma is in her Astonishing X-Men costume.

(And yes, I know Kwannon is not a past version of Betsy - But do you think these editors or the general public care about that?)

Why would this one cover be different?
