I'm not understanding the baking sheet joke? Haha

I didn't get either! I was wondering if I was misreading.

The art looks better in these other shots other than the last page which we've already seen.

I think the joke is supposed to be that everything named (baking sheet, cookie sheet, baking tray, cookie pan, and wax paper) they all serve the same function but are named differently. It somehow amuses Bobby.

Except that wax paper can melt and burn in the oven. So, I believe the writer flubbed his own joke. ?

The answer is: No. Wax paper is not the same, Jubilee.

Either way, it isn't a good joke.

"ALWAYS WATCHING" Ecxept when they're baking cookies???? Lol I hope this mini doesn't suck

Wax paper is for wrapping and not sticking to the food or allow grease to leak. Baking sheet is an entirely different thing and used for oven cooking. Jubilee is right for sticking to the recipe while Bobby is pulling her leg.

Waiting for writers to stop treating Bobby as a doofus and give him clever jokes. Jubilee was right, baking/cookie sheet, cookie trays/pans and oven skillets are ovenproof.

I'm trying to figure out why Psylocke is short as or shorter than Jubilee? Unless in this verse they are the same height lol.

@Taz, I think it’s depth perception. I think Jubilee is further back.

Rahsaan said...

Actually, that would make her appear even shorter than Locke then. Never mind. Your observation is right.

The art is shit that's the issue nothing to do canonically

Eh, was curious:

5' 11" - Psylocke and Northstar
5' 10" - Blob
5' 8" - Iceman
5' 5" - Jubilee

I'd assume Moneta to be shorter than Jubes.

Those are the given heights but I don't think any artist has ever used it as a guideline.

The dudes must always be taller than the gals. Except for Wolverine and he's not being portrayed as a father-figure.

They need to remove this dialogue from the first few pages. I'm sure there is still time.

Actually, even Wolverine is often drawn taller than the women, sometimes even with similar heights than guys like Cyclops or Gambit...

And yes, Iceman's joke is awful.

And while this has nothing to do with this issue (or directly with Psylocke), there's this amazing k-pop girlgroup named LOONA that released this month their new music video, which is titled... Butterfly. Couple that with the fact that one of the girls dyed her hair purple, and I couldn't help but associate this video with Betsy in my mind.

That said, the video is really beautiful (carrying a message of self-esteem and showing women from different parts of the world):
