Ultimate Comics X-Men #19 Spoilers & Art

Spoilers: President Captain America offered the mutants two options: a cure that erased the mutant gene and a plot of land for those who chose to keep their powers. Thousands took the cure. Now only twenty mutants remain: Rogue, Kitty, Iceman, Storm, Armor, Blackheath, Network, Micromax, Warpath, Mach Two, Magma, Psylocke, Shola Inkosi, Jimmy Hudson, Zero, and five others. If they cross the border, they will be killed. Mach 2 is upset with the land they were given and doesn’t want to live there. Kitty assures them that was the best the President could give them and that they should stay and build something bigger for them. A vote to decide who leads them takes place, and Kitty ends up winning. Despite their disagreements, the mutants are forced to work together for the following days, even though it seems Mach Two is up to something. Meanwhile, Karen Grant is working for SEAR and monitoring Kitty Pryde’s every step.

Wow, she was included and had lines, more than i expected. Anyone will care to explain how is she alive?

I miss her piercings and dark eyes, but at least she's alive thanks to editorial oversight ~_~

well too early to say if this is really her with everything that is happening esp with that unsolved appearance of Xavier and Magneto

Does Mach Two have a 616 counterpart? I'm not familiar.

I'm glad Ultimate Betsy is still alive, and even happier to see her voting AGAINST Kitty (...well, Ultimate Kitty seems okay, but I guess my hatred for 616-Kitty affects the way I see Ultimate Kitty as well).

But if there are only 20 mutants now, what happened to Storm, Colossus, Havok, Firestar and Karen Grant (a.k.a. Jean Grey)? Are they depowered? Killed? And this "Zero" guy, is he the Ultimate counterpart to Earth-616's Kenji Uedo (one of Hope Summers's Five Lights)?

I used to love the Ultiverse, but after Ultimatum exterminated so many heroes (and villains, too) I stopped caring about what was going on in there...

She have telekinesis in the ultimate universe? I thought she was just a telepath who can create a psionic blade.

Yeah, the line is blurred, as always. I recall wondering that during her time in Ultimate X-Men when she used her "telepathy" to take down a Sentinel.

So then is this the Ultimate Marvel equivalent to "Decimation?"

Happy to see an Ultimate version of Micromax...and even happier to see that he sided with his 616 counterpart's former Excalibur teammate's Ultimate counterpart. I love when writers don't forget the forgotten Excalibur characters. Now hows about an Ultimate Meggan, Brian Wood?
