X-Men Legacy #242 Spoilers & Art

Spoilers: Cyclops decides to send Magneto, Colossus, Psylocke, Rogue, Omega Sentinel, Danger and Random to San Francisco in order to rebuild and repair the city from the destruction caused by their battle against Bastion. Rogue brings Hellion along, hoping to take him out of himself for a while. Hope also volunteers to go. In San Francisco, the X-Men do their part at the construction site. Psylocke and Hellion are responsible for clearing the ground. Omega Sentinel realizes some of her systems are malfunctioning, which leads her to attack both Hellion and Hope. Cyclops interviews all involved at the scene, Psylocke tells him that her telepathy comes and goes if she's pushing all-out with her telekinesis, which made it hard to focus in on any one point.

Interesting bit of info about her powers. I love that she looks Asian and so pretty.

I didn't like how they only listed telekinesis for her powers. Unless they were just listing the powers with the high-level threat, but telepathy can just be as deadly.

Other then that, interesting issue. Definitely not better than X-Force #2!

I actually liked this explanation. When Psylocke returned to the X-Men, she mentioned that some of her psychic powers were returning, but still very weak; suddenly she's using full-scale telepathy without any explanation on how she recovered all of it.

The way Carey described her TP, it gets coherent with her explanation in Uncanny #512 and it also avoids her from becoming an overpower character (kinda like Jean or pre-War-of-Kings Rachel) and adds depth to her powers.

Too bad the other writers probably won't address this issue and Carey himself will probably forget Betsy in the next arcs (post-Age of X) to keep focusing on Rogue... Don't get me wrong, I love Rogue and I love Carey's scripts, but sometimes Legacy feels like a solo book instead of a team book (Necrosha was the exception so far, and it seems this new arc is also more team-oriented, but everything else has been just Rogue front and center).

But Legacy IS a solo book with occasional guest-appearances... And if I may say it... It sucks big time. Carey is amazing, but ever since the focus became Rogue and the kids, he hasn't written one single decent or exciting story. I guess the Necrosha tie-in was the only exception, everything else was subpar. This book right now is just boring. I hope Age of X changes the direction and brings back the good old Carey of Supernovas.

I love this explanation of her powers & it makes sense. When she was flying around trying to detect a weaker spot in the giant bubble, she was only telepathically talk to Scott. We don't see her flying in XForce because maybe when she does that it makes it hard for her to focus on her TP. (basically she has to focus on one or the other, but they are both extremely powerful).
Love this & sets her, at least a LITTLE bit apart, from the other TP & teke mutants.

That is a nice explanation of her current power set. If she uses one at full the other works at half. I'm looking forward to uxf 3 & I may pick up this part of legacy as well.

@bla i tottaly agree with you. that's what always makes psylocke unique as a psychic. when she was only a telepath she was unique ,when was only a telekinatic she was also unique & now she is a telepath & a telekinatic but still the writers manged to make her as unique as possible. that'a what makes me love her more.
