Probably because the last time he drew her regularly was with Claremont and that's when she used the TK sword.

Wish he would be assigned an X-book. I think he would have been great on X-Men Vol. 3 instead of Medina.

I hate Emma! all she does is boss every one around like lap dogs! please give some one else speaking roles and leave the bitch back at base please.

She still can use the katana anyway. She used it in that Exodus one-shot didn't she.

seriously even if it's an error it looks so much better with pants! the costume is actually a costume and not wank material.

This might be interesting...

The pants look great! It probably won't last, but still it looks great!

I usually love Bachalo's art, but this panel looks weird...

It's nice to see Betsy with pants for once, though. Although it's probably just a miscoloring of her bare legs.

Anyway, the second part of The Children's Crusade will be released next week, if I'm not mistaken. That's the issue where supposedly the X-Men will face against the Avengers... do you guys think Betsy has chances of being one of the X-Men searching for the Scarlet Witch? Heimberg did use her (although just for cameo reasons) in his tie-in backstory in Uncanny X-Men #526, so she probably has a chance...

Boooo costume doesnt look even a fraction as cool or iconic with pants! I wonder if fans bitch about Storm, Elektra or Ms Marvel's costume this much.

Its a colouring mistake. Great issue, real sense of adventure, Bachalo has a ghost artist or he really rushed this some, of the faces are fugly.

Yes, anonymous @3:22 those fans do bitch about thier costumes just as much.

I own the comic those are not pants its a colour error and Psylocke looks better in the bikini anyway.

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure it's not a coloring mistake - if you look at the inks/shading to simulate the "glossiness" of the fabric, they go the full length of her leg with no breaks. If it were just a coloring error, it would've been just solid color with no "gloss" inks. He also purposely gave her a single strap on the arm that's showing. Hence: no mistake.

That being said, she looks better in the bikini.

By the way, the "bikini" thing is IN. See: Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rhihanna on tour, Beyonce, etc. and... Maggie Q in the pic someone posted in the previous post. (By the way, the arm strappies and catsuit-ish bikini Maggie Q seems like a deliberately Psylocke-inspired outfit, right? Just a bit modified to seem less comic-booky.) So if your gripes are about it being 80s, well, now it's 2000s to 2010s as well.

And Emma is wearing a bra-cape, and colossus is wearing what appears to be hot pants. Personally, I dont much care what anyone is wearing, I just want the stories to be good.

Anonymous said...

Hot pants...and thigh high boots.. huh?

Much more scandalous than Psylockes Thighlocke outfit.

Has Psylocke been replaced with X-23 on the women of marvel covers?

No one notice how Psylocke's in the preview Wolverine: road to hell? The first story is about X-Force, Psylocke gags, strips and ties up a waitress and locks in her in a closet :o plus I've got a feeling she's gonna kill the rich guy in the cafe!!

Anonymous said...

Saddly I think is x-23 ...

Psychilde said...

But she has purple hair in a chinese bun? And it's in the X-Force story??

J77 said...

It's most definetly X-23. It's clear when you read her thought boxes (the red ones).

Guys Psylocke does appear in another panel in the comic where she does have her thong on, it was just a colouring mistake, sorry :

I beg to differ.. the girl was described as "hot". x-23 is a kid. psylocke on the other hand, is the hot x-gal...

Anonymous said...

@anonymous 1:31...I agree. I think that is Psylocke. However, I don't think the thought boxes are hers. We'll see when the comic comes out, but I find it hard to believe that the author would use the descriptive "hot" to describe X-23 who is a teenager.

FSaker said...

Honestly, I don't think the waitress is Psylocke. I know, it's inappropriate to refer to a teenager as "hot", but X-23 is no stranger to using sex-appeal in men... she used to be a prostitute, remember? Plus, she's probably 16 or 17 years-old, a guy could think she's an adult. But it could be her (although I'm not sure why she and Daken would be at the same place at the same time), so we'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

So, guys, tomorrow both "Wolverine: Road To Hell" and "Avengers: The Children's Crusade #2" will be released. Are you anxious to see for the first time how Betsy will be written by Remender (since she'll most likely be in his WRTH story for the X-Force)?? And will Betsy be among the X-Men involved in the search for the Scarlet Witch?? I'll be very frustrated if it turns out that Allan Heinberg left her out of this story...

Anonymous said...

Betsy won't be in Children's Crusade.

FSaker said...

^
Really? That sucks...

Thanks for the info, but how do you already know that?

J77 said...

It's X-23. The situation is lead in to Daken: Dark Wolverine #1 and X-23 #1.

J77 said...

Psylocke does appear in the issue though with the rest of the Uncanny X-Force..

FSaker said...

J77 is correct, the "waitress" is X-23, but Psylocke appears in the third WRTH story. And that story pretty much shows that if she and Archangel aren't a couple again yet, they will become one very soon. And even though I think Warren is boring, seeing him stand up for his woman made me respect him and approve him as Betsy's boyfriend (but he'd better not mess up with her this time!).

As for Children's Crusade #2, Anonymous was right: Betsy doesn't appear in it. In fact, no X-Men appear in it, except for Wolverine (but he appears as an Avenger, not an X-Man) and Magneto (who appears as a solo player). It really sucks that Marvel announced an "all-out war between the Avengers and the X-Men" for this issue but we saw nothing of that. I hope the X-Men are just being saved for the other issues of this series (and that Betsy will appear in it!!).
