Why is Lorna and Havok on the cover or is it just an alt cover that will cost more?

I think Polaris may be one of the horsemen again.

Fantomex and Deadpool look really stupid in the black and white colour scheme. Didnt anyone tell them its supposed to be black and dark silver with shiny red bits!

Hardly secret undercover team in high contrast black and white, imagine all the blood stains.

Haha, here's a list of things that are aldso not undercover:

a) a purple haired lady
b) in a bathing suit
c) carrying a big sword
d) with glowing pink energy pouring out of her face

This is my way of saying I like the black and white, though I agree, pretty conspicuous.

It looks to me like X-Force will attempt to use Polaris' connection to Apocalypse to track him down. Which is good because I never thought Polaris or Wolverine really dealt with the ramifications of being horsemen.

why can´t they do her hair purple my god? and it looks short! this is crap! and where is fantomex?

Her look in Uncanny X-Force is dark/black hair to go with the overall color scheme of the team. Remember her hair color was never actually purple (in either body). She was a natural blond in her British body and has naturally black hair in her current body. The only reason her hair is purple is because she dyes it (a leftover from her modeling days).

Anonymous said...

if you see all her profiles it says after the bodywap is altered definetly purple....they even said in a recent interview ansewring a fan question on this subject that her hair is indeed purple...but look darker depending on the light....so they sould at least have done some purple on the figure...even if it is a dark purple

If you go to the OFFICIAL MARVEL SITE and read her OFFICIAL bio, it tells you her physical details. I quote from the site under her physical characteristics, "Hair
(originally) Blonde, dyed purple; (currently) black, often dyed purple" (http://marvel.com/universe/Psylocke).

While purple hair is iconic for her character, it is not considered to be naturally occurring (as in the case of Polaris). She chooses to dye it or tint it more as a means to maintaining a connection to her past. For a "black-ops" team like Uncanny X-Force, I think it makes more sense to have her hair return to its natural color of black.

Where is Psylocke's TK katana??? I want an explanation!!!

bla said...

Where the hell did her TK katana go? I ask the same question as anon above me haha.
Also, I'm so glad to have Lorna back in a title but all X titles are looking a mess!!!

Psylocke without purple hair is like Wolverine without claws.

Atleast with Fantomex the all over white was part of his design, deadpool in white just looks weird.

We shouldnt really presume that Lorna will be in X-force all we have to go on is that cover, there were a lot of dead characters on the other comics in the poster that I dont figure will be showing up in the comics. It would be cool though.

Yeah but her hair IS purple.....is like Polaris showed up with different hair...or Emma brunette.....she looks very generic with black hair....Elektra anyone?

They just need to draw her hot is all.

Hey Guys, Love your site! Psylocke is the best Telepath still alive. I blogged about her...

@Gary...

Agreed, Maggie Q would make a great Psylocke...

Anonymous said...

She would be my choice for the part too.....hot, looks eurasian, can act, can be action oriented! would have deffinetly chemistry with Hugh Jackman! we should start a petition already!

Anonymous said...

Right? Make the Next Wolverine Movie with her in it! I would love to see her and Logan, in Madipoor.

Hey, Gary. Fellow, NYer here! I've share your pop culture affinity.

FSaker said...

Yes Gary, that would be awesome!

It would be even better if the movie producers forgot that she died in the third X-Men movie so that Psylocke can appear in an eventual fourth one...

By the way, welcome!

bla said...

@ FSaker, it has been said that the billing of Mei Melancon as Psylocke was incorrect, as someone just grabbed a name & wrote it down. I know this bursts a lot of bubbles maybe, that Psylocke was not in the movie, but it's the truth but since no one can go out & fix the DVDs to say the right thing, the idea that it's Psylocke still stays. But it isnt.

Anonymous said...

Lol keep telling yourself that, purple haired asian with shadow powers isnt Psylocke even though Mei herself said many times she was playing Psylocke.

Anonymous said...

I Know they Dubbed her as Psylocke, but does the Third Movie even count? It's Like When Lisa Said She lost her virginity to Milhouse and Marge was like "Oh, That Doesn't Count." Make a good Action Movie With Hugh Jackman and Maggie Q, and the public will love it. Thanks for the Welcome... I will Write more about Psylocke On my Own Blog.

She was in the movie just like Emma was in Wolverine but now is a main character in First Class. If the main public doesn´t realize it was the same character the producers really don´t care. I mean who apart X-Men fans know it was Psylocke there in those 5 seconds? So if they want her in Wolverine 2 they will put her and just ignore the one in X-Men 3. I hope they do! it will rock....Hugh said it´s the sexiest movie ever so...Psylocke is the sexiest ever ! ;)

FSaker said...

"So if they want her in Wolverine 2 they will put her and just ignore the one in X-Men 3."

But her death in X-Men 3 does not prevent her from appearing in Wolverine 2... AFAIK, Wolverine's solo movies take place BEFORE the X-Men trilogy.

Still, I agree that her presence in X-Men 3 is so insignificant that hopefully whenever there is a fourth X-Men movie the writer will forget her death and just put her in like if nothing had happened...

I don't like Maggie Q for Psylocke. I think she's a boring actress and I honestly think she looks like a dude.

Anonymous said...

Ok, I apologize for saying Maggie Q looks like a dude, that was mean of me, but I still think she's a bad actress and I think she's too plain for Psylocke.

Anonymous said...

Psylocke has an edge and Maggie Qu's face is too rounded, young and girly. Honestly i think Mei was great casting if not id choose someone like Gong Li. We should atleast have someone who looks fully asian, after The last airbender i think its unnacceptable all this hollywood white washing.

Anonymous said...

Too rounded? Maggie Q is way too angular to play Psylocke. Maggie's face isn't soft or girly at all. It's hard edged, long and rectangular.

I agree that Psylocke shouldn't be whitewashed, unless she would appear in her original white body, of course.

Guys it ISN'T her in xmen 3. haha. Please stop arguing about if "her death in xmen3" will keep her from being in any other movies. It wasn't her.

Anonymous said...

I'm in between the two arguments. I think it was "Psylocke" or it was meant to be her, since the character was credited as Psylocke/Elisabeth Braddock but since the part was so small and since none of the other characters referred to her as Psylocke or Elisabeth that directors could decide to ignore that character and establish their own Psylocke and it wouldn't be a big deal. At least I would have a problem with it. So I guess you could say she is movie Psylocke for now, but it doesn't have to stay that way.

"According to scriptwriter Zak Penn, the character played by Melançon was not named as Psylocke in the original script. In a Q&A on thexverse.com, he claimed that: "There was some switching of character names later in production, and I'm not exactly sure how Psylocke got thrown into the mix." "
Sure, she had purplish hair, but you can bet if a character like Wolverine in a movie was this amalgam "version", fans would be PISSED. I refuse to accept it is Psylocke in the film even though Ratner says it is (because he doesn't know what else to say haha)

Anonymous said...

It was movieverse Psylocke, a crappy, crappy "amalgram" movieverse Psylocke, that could easily be contradicted and replaced by another movieverse Psylocke, but it's still movieverse Psylocke, *for now*.
What the hell does it matter that she wasn't supposed to be Psylocke in the original script, all that means is she wasn't intended to be Psylocke at first, she still ended being the movieverse's Psylocke.

I love how all the men are completely covered in the team shot with the 5 of them, & Psylocke stands out with her one-piece swimsuit & ludicrous strips of spandex. Not to mention Land is terrible. So... when did she go back into the British body? Since she's being drawn as white again... UGH. I was really excited about this but now it's Alex & Lorna's return that is the only thing I want to see, just to know how things go. Sorry Betsy but ciao lol
