Really fun seeing Betsy interact with characters that we've never see her around before

Betsy being proactive and focused in critical situations is something I really missed

Agreed! I don't miss her being a self conscious loser anymore!

Yes to all of the above. It would be even better if the art was less child-like and if her astral avatar was her psi-self butterfly versus her head with a non-ornate butterfly attached. 😂 I alway appreciate artists who draw her power signature with great detail versus those who make it look ill-defined and rough.

Marcus To drew the butterfly beautiful and regal. Shame he was hardly allowed to draw it.

@randy, agreed. That issue where he draws Malice using Betsy’s psi-self to speak to Rogue and Rachel is probably the best rendition of it that I’ve seen to date. Many of these other artists draw it so crudely and it looks rushed, sloppy, and incomplete.

Plenty of fans would probably be upset, but I think the best way for her moving forward is to make her do an espionage thing double agent-style. I mean, she could still be Captain Britain during the day and interviews, but she should also do a secret agent stint at night/when she's not captaining. And...I think she should adapt the codename Revanche. She'll never be Psylocke again (unless they're going to kill K(w)annon, which would make me upset) so it's best to just use that unused codename for herself. It'd also make a bit more sense considering that the name, while it was invented by Kannon, she did it when she was inhabiting Betsy's body while believing that she was the real Betsy. It's a French word, it'd go well with the fact that Betsy's a polyglot and that Kannon might have known about the word Revanche in the first place because remnant of Betsy's multilingual ability was left in her original body.

@Daud Rotama, personally, I wouldn't mind if Betsy adopted the Revanche codename. And it's not like Kwannon would have any right to complain about it, since she took Betsy's codename first.

My only concern if that change of codenames happen is that it may confuse many readers who aren't aware of the body "un-swap" and could think that Betsy is Kwannon and vice-versa... Then again, the larger, casual audience doesn't seem to care much about secret identities, and the general idea about Psylocke seems to define her as "the psychic ninja" (regardless of who is the woman acting as the psychic ninja), with her time prior to becoming a ninja being mostly ignored, so maybe this change of codenames wouldn't be a big deal for most people. As for us, Betsy's fans, we'll always know that Betsy is the (much) better character, regardless of which body or codename she's using.

I disagree completely. Elizabeth should not take the name Revanche. Not because of people possibly being confused. She should not want or take the name as it is a step backwards into trauma for her and further ties her to Kwannon when the two should be completely separate. It’s bad enough that the X-writers refuse to individualize Kwannon with a unique power signature/power set. It would be even lazier to me for Elizabeth to assume the name, “Revenge” in homage to a time when a confused, exploited, and emotionally broken Kwannon arrived full of anger and hate; seeking revenge on Elizabeth while unintentionally sowing confusion, mistrust, and chaos among the X-Men.

Also, what would Elizabeth be seeing revenge for? She has clearly moved on from this trauma. Her assuming that name would be as bad as Kwannon wanting the Hand suit and the Psylocke codename.

Moreover, it gives Office X yet another easy out versus forcing them to do something new, bold, creative, and original (which was Hickman’s original goal before leaving… And which I pray Brevoort will do with a lot of the mess White and company made after Hickman’s departure.)

It could be about "revenge" against humans who have chosen to support Orchis and always opposed Krakoa despite everything that Krakoa and its technology had given to humanity. During the day(s) she's Cpt. Britain, prim and proper, outspoken yet polite. During the night(s), however, she's simply not. Wild, ruthless, murderous even. Make her kill her foes again, that's something that she was doing for so many yeara. Her asassin skills weren't just there because Kannon was an asassin; Betsy also trained her ass off all those years! Make it an exciting journey of balancing her murderous tendencies with her righteous morality. I could see it function as sort of a throwback to her original struggle as a British dame who didn't know "how to let the tiger within comes out." I know, that's like regurgitating something that she shouldn't have trouble with nowadays, but what better way there is? Blame the '90s writers for all of the ninja Psylocke fame. No one these days would be on board with a Psylocke who isn't Asian.

To me, it's the easiest solution considering that changing Kannon into a new superhero with a new name would be a financial loss for the company, while giving Betsy back the name she rightfully has the utmost ownership over is undoing the "reparation" that they've done since Kannon's resurrection. It's quite frustrating, I know, but there really is no other way. Her longtime fans are upset with the Cpt. Britain stuff while the newly minted ones aren't able to associate her with the Psylocke codename anymore since she isn't Asian. They could maybe give her a new costume which pay homage to her Outback masked appearance to hide her face from being identified as strictly a white woman, but then that would be dumb and just as backwards.
