Elizabeth described as a psychic powerhouse! That’s something we haven’t seen in a looooongg time! Let’s hope we see her use her powers in nifty ways. Also, I really dig that Foze is utilizing David in a sublime way and highlighting that his form of passive telepathy is actually an asset. This series might low-key be the star of these Fall of X titles. I know that as of now Fall of House is NOT all that. The writing, dialogue, and art are not that great. I have not checked out Rise of Powers yet.
Also, did you all know this (if it’s true… has Claremont confirmed?) and I’m the only one just learning about it? 😂

I wasn't aware, but glad that never panned out lol.
An overall good issue, love Betsy getting the recognition she deserves regarding her psychich potential (she belongs in the top 10). I want to see what Foxe does with her in her unlimited issues, specially since we know she's not in Otherworld from this page.
As Betsy should be in the top 5 of best telepaths and tk's.
I actually really enjoyed this issue. The characters weren't written one note, no one was boring, the issue moved at a reasonable pace. Art was so good hopefully the issues Betsy appear in look as good as I know each issue will feature a different artist.
Actually, re-reading that correspondence between Ray and Charles, I’m also glad that she recalls that Bets is a ninja since Tini previously seemed to erase that entire skill set.
@randy, glad to read that you found the characterization and story well-done. Here’s to hoping this will be one of the breakout gems of the Fall of X. Also, that this will lead to great things for the characters involved who all deserve some shine. Frenzy has come a long way over the years. Her evolution to hero has been great. I think she’s great choice for field leader and Rachel for the main leader (since Rachel has so much history with time travel and mutant-hunting).
The first issue of Dead X-Men was full of fast paced action with well calculated transitions and great characterizations. The focus was equally split on all members of the team roster.
In what Foxe excelled was taking all plot points from HoX/PoX, Inferno 2, Fall of X and the flagship X-Men title and moving them to the next chapter smoothly. In doing so, he made a synopsis of things that happened within the action of the issue.
So far so good which makes me hopeful for things to come and how Betsy will return in her heavily advertized Disassembled form.
The use of Moira as the adversary was the best to come from any writer involved with the Hickman era. Personally it was the first time Moira felt her actions to have a purpose behind them and act with composure unlike the manic version we were introduced to with the new era.
Forgot to mention the inclusion of loose plot threads like the Phallanx and Technarchy that weren't included in the main body of the story to this point. Playing with the theme of multiple alternate realities as a result of the Dominion's meddling was very much entertaining.
