I'm kinda over Otherworld.
I'm over Tini Howard, dear God am I so over Tini Howard and her so-called writing. She and the current editorial team have managed to completely ruin Betsy Braddock. Betsy used to be a strong, passionate yet deeply flawed woman and I loved that about the character and that's why she used to be my favorite.
I don't know who or what Betsy is anymore and I've lost all interest in the character at this point, which makes me sad.
I pray for the day the solicits for Excalibur read "FINAL ISSUE"
I'm just not excited for the book at all at this point just end it already Marvel PLEASE
Oh look Betsy is now in stocks so more dumps can be taken on her. Yay Tini, best writer ever!
S.O.S. please a good writer redeem Betsy Braddock!!!
She used to be a badass woman!!
This cover sums up the series. The characters bound and tortured and trapped in a torture chamber aka Tini Howard's Excalibur
I agree with you guys.
It's so odd because it seems like TPTB are loving her. She co-authored X of Swords and now has a 2nd book (on the other hand maybe like Rogue's potential situation, a new book might mean Excalibur eventually could end and Tini still gets a book? I have no idea how well Excalibur is selling)
Still, I would encourage everyone to write Officex@marvel.com and voice your issues.
I honestly think the Kwannon vs Betsy thing was supposed to be much worse (with the Betsy victim blaming) and I think the butterfly was supposed to just be gone without us noticing.
I think Betsy fans being vocal against it changed the outcome of one and potentially changed the outcome of another. I think tptb will never admit it, but I think they do look at fan's issues with things, especially if it potentially affects the bottom dollar.
Worth a shot at least if you have a few minutes to spare lol.
You guys!!! The OG Excalibur worked with a chunk of a hunk and four goofy mutants. Why this new sucks?
Lemme tell ya a hush hush secret. Colonialist Betsy must suffer suffer suffer suffer well! Tie beat break and drag her down down and down to the pits. Sweet Revanche was a saint an angel from who Betsy stole her sexy tushbush. Revanche has to steal Psylocke, butterfly all from colonialist Betsy on Twitter demand. Groan
Cebulski is hellbent on ruining Betsy and puke as many Revanche x-rated covers he can. Cash in the sex dollar.
Great, more Tini punishing Betsy! Good times! I wish Betsy would have been eligible for the X-Men team election...need to get this character away from Tini Howard fast!
It looks like another 4-6 issue arc at the least.. the first two volumes of the trade are 6 issues each the 3rd volume ends with issue #21 so #22 has to be at least 4-5issues to fill another trade PUKE
Merlyn lost his David Carradine appearance. Seems the story from Ten of Swords continues. I understand that Saturnyne wants to keep Brian he was an irreplaceable Captain Britain. Let's see if Rogue is replaced with Betsy's sister in law.
Covers lie. By the derogatory themes of the covers I see where the negative sentiments come from. If Tini Howard imagines Betsy to be a rich white lady of the British Empire it's a mood.
I choose a creative change than lose Excalibur. It's up to sales and Marvel at this point.
I'm fine if it ends. I miss Betsy being involved with the XMen not fairy tales
Betsy was written in a corner relinquishing the Psylocke mantle. She used to be a core member of the X-Men and now she is limited to fairy tales. I wish Rogue could take Betsy with her.
Mas...
So the main X-Men book was renumbered, after all. I wonder if this means the main X-book will now be Hickman's new title starting in September, rather than the book titled X-Men...
Also, what could his new book be about? Moira getting a solo title to show what she's doing undercover (like HoX/PoX), perhaps?
...As for the July covers, it seems Excalibur isn't ending or getting any major roster changes (other than Rogue leaving and apparently Meggan joining), but apparently Merlyn is going to be another jerk for them to deal with (as if Saturnyne wasn't enough). And as for Marauders... is that woman next to Emma supposed to be Selene?
