With the Age of X-Man ending next week and Jonathan Hickman's 'House of X' #1 being released on July 24, there's still no word on where Psylocke might appear next. Betsy is still conspicuously absent from any House of X/Powers of X promotional image, covers or interior art previewed so far, with the exception of very few variant covers. The same cand be said about other major characters like Rogue, Gambit and Kitty Pryde, to mention a few.
With that in mind, all eyes are set on Marvel's Next Big Thing panel at SDCC to be held on July 20, where Jonathan Hickman will reveal what comes next for the X-Men after the senses-shattering revelations of the House of X and Powers of X, and a new wave of X-Books are expected to be announced.
Writer Leah Williams now took to Twitter to reassure fans concerned about Psylocke's abscence that things are looking up for Betsy Braddock. Although Williams confirmed she's not involved wth the books, she wasn't any less excited: "I promise you that you're [Psylocke fans] gonna be stoked. I promise! Full disclosure, I'm not involved, I just know too much and have been excited forever."

I hate the waiting game, just don't put her back in that Asian body. I like her how she is now.
I wonder why we havent seen any Psylocke at all not even a panel. I'm really hoping it's not due to some spoilers like shes back in Kwannons body. It's either something spoiler or Hickman really isnt touching on Psylocke. Which if this means major changes to XMen I'm glad he wont be applying anything to Betsy leave her as is and let her explore the new landscape after his initial minis. People wanna see her so had in House and Powers but ehhh let Jean and Emma deal with changes let Psylocke slip in after.
I'm happy to know that Psylocke isn't forgotten.
I will be the broken record of the company and say, should Hickman or any other gets funny ideas of switching bodies again and places Betsy into Kwannon, may God have mercy on their souls for I'll have none.

Depends on the plans for Psylocke. If they involve Betsy dragged back to Japan or anywhere in Asia fighting the Hand, the Yakuza and Triad because she was once the symbol of cultural appropriation then hard pass.
There is an endless variety of stories to pick from looking into Psylocke's origin. There is the Captain Britain Corps, Otherworld, Excalibur, S.T.R.I.K.E., Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., MI-13, the Hellfire Club, Mojoworld, the Timebrokers and the First Fallen.
they draw her face like kwannon anyway, just with lighter hair, haha! maybe she was way more interesting looking before this create-a-new-body-betsy.
hope they give her a new costume. update the armor and give it back to her, it looked way cooler.

I agree that they draw her face like Kwannon as Kwannon’s face was usually drawn to look like a white woman’s.
Moreover, since before the creation of Kwannon, “Asian” Psylocke was written and drawn to resemble an “Asian” version of her white self who was immediately recognizable to Wolverine after her broke her headgear/mask.
I hope we get some stories tying into her Otherworld origins and her spy days. Would love for her to reconnect with her old friend, Alison Double. Especially, since as far as Alison knows Betsy just vanished after going out skiing one day while living with her in the Swiss Alps.
Also, hoping for more recognition from the world in the comic story of her supermodel career now that she looks like herself again. I would think the return of her internationally renowned face would make news as it did when the X-Men died in Dallas as shown in the first Excalibur story. Also, would love to see a return of her random precognitive flashes and her using her TK as she did in her mini which was its most logical, realistic, and interesting use of that capability to date since she gained it.

As for how Kwannon’s body was more often than not drawn, it was a disregarding of the character and further evidence that she was only created as a plot device in service to a white character. If she does remain in the Hickman era, I really hope that they do something real with her other than making her “Fake Betsy” as Alex called her. Right now, Rosenberg is writing her terribly.

I think Kwannon was actually drawn to resemble Betsy, not the other way around. At the time I don't think the story was going in a body swap direction so she looked a lot like Betsy's original body. Then Spiral mentioned they mixed genetic traits etc etc. Funny enough Kwannon looks different to me from Betsy now though lol. I just hope Betsy gets a great story and retains this body. She deserves it.

C’mon, randy... I almost always agree with you, but not here. Let’s not equate muscularity or height with masculinity. Amazons are the height of femininity and athleticism. The two are not mutually exclusive except in societies that try to pigeonhole women into one way of being. 💜

Kwannon is like the wrestler Giant Baba and Big Barda. Marvel hasn't tall and strong Asian women now it has. Psylocke is model woman with the perfect female body I like she is juicy and a tease.
psylocke a supermodel? lol she's drawn so she looks about 5'4, petite, cute, girl next door, with fluffy hair. they keep wanting to draw her more Asian because she just looks more interesting that way. right now just bland nothing happening here, she looks like her name is "jenny" or "jennie".

@randy, I wasn't offended at all. I'm just saying that tall, muscular women can be feminine. I don't take much seriously on this page as people have often blown up at me for stating my opinion. I promise I wasn't lambasting you or outraged by your comment. I merely disagree and think it pigeonholes women into very narrow definitions of femininity. All I am saying is that Amazons are the epitome of sexiness. And truth be told, both Betsy and Kwannon would be Amazonian as both are tall, athletic women. I doubt Betsy has a skinny physique now. She is a trained combatant and has been with the team or years. I recall one artist even depicted her as muscular in her new uniform and half the people here hated it. Though it was a realistic depiction of what a woman in her current line of work would look like.
Again, no beef. I don't really vest much emotion into online conversations. That is other than amusement. I enjoy you and the other members here. Being offended by anyone online who I don't know in-person isn't how I flow. I was just stating a perspective.

I think there isnt any real beef here we (most of us not you) may be snarky sometimes but really we are all Psylocke fans and should support each other better. Even though I disagree with the Asian body being "better" at the end of the day if we were stranded on an island we would bond over Psylocke! Haha

And I say that as someone who prefers Elizabeth and Kwannon each stay in their respective bodies. Even if Kwannon is written out again after Rosenberg pretty much treating her like a lapdog for the X-Men versus their ally or anyone worthy of story, I hope she goes in her own body versus anymore swapping. The two are back where each should be.
I would really like to see Kwannon explored. Shes no longer tethered to Matsuo and his bullshit what does Kwannon want? We know she apparently is proactive in regards to saving mutant kind maybe she can stay on a title like XForce and not the main title series.

i also would like kwannon's story and character fully explored. while some like rahsaan may miss the point of gradually developing a character by starting her off as a brawler and then building her complexity overtime it is clear to me and others that they have plans for both her and betsy. exciting! i think it's a wise choice that they paired her with wolverine in this arc since they are such a great pair. maybe add jubilee in the mix for old time's sake. very good chemistry
I'm laughing. Anonymous see what they want to see. Jim Cheung is known for drawing Asian eyes on women. Nitpick the rest of his cover not pick on Psylocke to put her down because she returned in her body and you are salty over it. Jean Grey and X-23 are the most Kwannon face X-23 is identical. I like Psylocke as OG Betsy and Kwannon as Kwannon. The X-Men hurt Kwannon and she is leading Japan's Yakuza society as we speak and fix cartels worldwide and gets filthy rich.

FYI: Looks like Cypher and Sage are back in the fold for HOX! That is fantastic! I would love to see Psylocke reconnect with them as she was tight with both of them. Cypher when she first joined the school and Sage during X-Treme and Exiles.
